Which is the real Enterprise?
That's the challenge being thrown down by filmmaker and Star Trek expert Robert Meyer Burnett (Free Enterprise), who posted the composite image below on his Facebook page.
Burnett has his own opinions on the matter, which anyone who's ever talked with him would know; after all, he helped design Star Trek: The Experience in Las Vegas.

I vote the refit of the original Enterprise as the best.

Minor aesthetics. They're all beauties in my eyes......God, if we only had the will.

The Abrams-prise looks like two sex toys cobbled together. I hate it, I refuse to even acknowledge the “reboot” nonsense.
The orginal ship designed by Matt Jeffries is timeless. also the refit is quite elegant, which also had Jeffries input.
Make no mistake, the original is THE ENTERPRISE.
In all it’s meaning to boldy go, exploration and the higher goals of the Federation that improve the human condition. It’s not just a ship.
And the message of the original series (right there in the mission statement in front of every episode) is getting lost more and more with each Trek incarnation. Sad.

They mean “real” as in real? I say the aircraft carrier.
When they ask “real” in the Star Trek “universe”? I say NCC-1701 no bloody A, B, C or bloody D.
I apologize to Scotty for that =o)
