In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
a group of nine
Example sentence:
Immediately following the show, viewers will be able to call or text in their votes for their favorite among this ennead of remaining contestants.
Did you know?
Since ancient times, various groups of people have considered nine to be a very special and sacred number. Legends and literature have long characterized groups of nine as having a special, in some cases magical, significance. Ancient Egyptians organized their gods into groups of nine; even today, their principal group of gods (headed by sun god Re-Atum) is called the "Great Ennead of Heliopolis." The "Ennead" English speakers use in that name traces to "ennea," the Greek word for "nine." "Ennead" is also used generally to refer to other groups of ancient gods. Furthermore, it is the name given to six sets of nine treatises by Greek philosopher Plotinus that were collected and organized by his 3rd-century disciple, Porphyry.
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)

can you believe men in NJ sit in their cars like fairies and have their gas pumped???
It’s messy. And they might break a sweat. ;)
It’s not safe for mere laymen to handle the important task of petroleum transfer. There was a story just last week about a lady who set her car on fire.
You are just J....!
I always had combination skin, with an oily t-zone, but sometime a decade ago or more, my skin got dry. I have moisturized the heck out of it, wishing for the oily skin back as it doesn’t age so much. I got my wish, I started using digestive enzymes and voila! my oily t-zone is back, complete with the occasional pimple.......and I am old enough to be a grandma at that!
Yeeedoggies!!! You guys over at Virtually Raw Wings of Chicken tried to sneak one past us but here's what ENNEAD relly means: When Kuthbert Holms was fulla his homebrew and decided to have his last two molers pulled at the denture recycling center I guess they gave him too much gas from the welding rig.
Anyways a few days later Kuthbert woke up and remembered where he lost his coon dog, says Kuthbert, “he's dead” but that's all he ever said and it came out like “ENNEAD” since his face mussels didn't work too good anymore.
Now, what was it you wanted?
I LOVE your stories! LOL
I like to draw plans-I start with quadrille graph paper and a pencil, then when the plan is just the way I want it, I copy it on my CAD-for some reason, I’m better able to “see” the thing when I draw it by hand first.
The little study alcove off the master bedroom will work, but not with the bay window in it-the foyer and master bath are in the way. I’ll have to put the bay window in the master bedroom itself, on what will probably be the south facing wall, which is okay, too. Now I need to go to that site to find a plan for a club bath/jack and jill bath for the guest one-
I write and you’re the decider...Decider? I think that’s a machine for making juice and I believe I got one around here.....
I have oily skin-coarse pores, all oily, all the time-my Latin heritage. I use astringent 2x a day, but I still get the occasional blemish
yeah, I have to rethink my skin care regime....may go back to what I was using for my combination skin.
I am contemplating attending the Tea Party Express tomorrow. It’s at least an hour’s drive, but I am familiar with the area it will be held in........just not sure of parking. Don’t want to park too far away and have to walk till I drop.
you interested in this tea party? kids are mostly in school for the day.
noon on Thursday in Scranton, PA......I am sure we can manage the kids ok.
That slap was so good, even if I hadn’t heard it myself, I was told about it by four different people at the grocery store!
I always figured it was because the true Jersey Girls couldn’t stop fluffing their spiked up hair long enough to learn how to work the gas pumps... not to mention those nails getting in the way.
LMAO!~
