In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
a group of nine
Example sentence:
Immediately following the show, viewers will be able to call or text in their votes for their favorite among this ennead of remaining contestants.
Did you know?
Since ancient times, various groups of people have considered nine to be a very special and sacred number. Legends and literature have long characterized groups of nine as having a special, in some cases magical, significance. Ancient Egyptians organized their gods into groups of nine; even today, their principal group of gods (headed by sun god Re-Atum) is called the "Great Ennead of Heliopolis." The "Ennead" English speakers use in that name traces to "ennea," the Greek word for "nine." "Ennead" is also used generally to refer to other groups of ancient gods. Furthermore, it is the name given to six sets of nine treatises by Greek philosopher Plotinus that were collected and organized by his 3rd-century disciple, Porphyry.
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)

Here is my example with today's WFTD.
The elite ennead of jurists known as the Supreme Court might be considering whether or not the words "shall not be infringed" really means "shall not be infringed".
Supreme Court has shot at another gun rights case
No pushing at the door please!
Happy Humpday Everybody!
Only
days left until BO's replacement is sworn in.
It's about dang time!
Way too much of the four-letter word today. Try not to burn down the classroom.
Before I get back to the four-letter word, let me leave you with this. VRWCboy is taking an AP Macroelectronics class now during his senior year in high school. His economics teacher is very entertaining. He has a website where he puts lessons online for the students, and uses video lectures to teach certain points. In the following link, he has a couple of video lectures about the production possibilities frontier (curve), and he makes a humorous political point at the beginning of each video. Scroll down on the page at the link a little bit and click on the videos. You won't need to watch the whole lecture; the political humor is at the very beginning and he doesn't dwell on it.
A friend ennead is a friend in deed.
On this numerically interesting day, 09/09/09, Obama will make a speech to the nation about healthcare. He will have to explain to his liberal supporters why he could not get the public option passed, despite the fact that he had a huge democrat majority in the House of Representatives, ennead a total of 60 democrats in the senate before Ted Kennedy’s passing. Unfortunately for Obama, whether his new plan tilts to the left, to the middle, or even slightly to the right, at least one third of the citizens of this country will be screaming “Nein, nein, nein!”
Yeppers, ole Zero got hit in the gut in August with real reform. He’ll beenead in the crotch in September though....
LOL........the guy is gutsy!
He calls hillary a wannabe, and says there is not much behind the Obama smile.
VRWCboy said that they watched the Zero speech yesterday (during this economics class), and the teacher did not include any of the Department of Education lessson plans. They didn’t have any assignment to gush over how Zero inspired them or anything like that. He said the teacher made a few comments and left it at that.

i have never heard of it, what’s it supposed to be about?
I had to laugh........we don’t have a huge number of rap wannabees here in the boonies of upstate ny. other than some of that hype, I was bored to tears.
and I agree with Jax, no way the bams was up studying before the sun came up.
the link is to the trailor...perhaps an Italian musical?
e
Of course, we still have 10/10/10 and 11/11/11 and 12/12/12 to look forward to, but for some reason those don't count.
yeah i watched the trailer and other than the fact that it’s a musical, i couldn’t much figure out anything else about it.
Homework will be submitted later. Right now I ennead a shower since it was excessively humid during the morning run.
I would love a movie with scenes of Italy......other than that it looked dull. watching a musical on broadway sounds nice, but in a movie? not so nice.
It’s special because it’s my 25th anniversary!
