Interesting..

Mr. Ward Cleaver 485 Mapleton Drive Mayfield, State

My Dear Mr. Cleaver:

This paragraph has absolutely nothing to do with anything. It is here merely to fill up space. Still, it is words, rather than repeated letters, since the latter might not give the proper appearance, namely, that of an actual note.

For that matter, all of this is nonsense, and the only part of this that is to be read is the last paragraph, which part is the inspired creation of the producers of this very fine series.

Another paragraph of stuff. Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their party. The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog. My typing is lousy, but the typewriter isn’t so hot either. After all, why should I take the blame for these mechanical imperfections, with which all of us must contend. Lew Burdette just hit a home run and Milwaukee leads seven to one in the series. This is the last line of the filler material of the note. No, my mistake, that was only the next to last. This is last.

I hope you can find a suitable explanation for Theodore’s unusual conduct.

Yours truly, Cornelia Rayburn

I remember reading about this online before. Shame the average family went from the Cleavers to the Bundys in such a short amount of time.

Whoever typed that certainly had more fun than the poor sucker who had to peck out "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" thousands of times for Stanley Kubrick's The Shining.

Must of been the same blonde who used whiteout on her computer screen because she made an error in Word.

I thought it was "to the aid of their country".

From SCTV:

(Joe Flaherty as WARD): "Beaver, I even heard you were killed in Vietnam!"

(John Candy as THE BEAVER): "Not me, Dad!"

No. I'll have to watch for that one on Nickelodeon.

It does remind me of my favorite Heinlien quote:

"A woman who trims, shaves, or otherwise depilates her pubic curls has an intense interest in recreational sex."

I'm seeing June in a whole new light.

I was half expecting that the content of the letter was going to be about how the school was requiring Wally and the Beaver to have to listen to some address given by Kennedy.

Yep, pretty cool. Just found this site—gives some info about the movie. Says different truisms were used for different countries:

http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/Reviews/shining.htm

From the site:

The blank look on Wendy’s face as she is confronted with the truth of what Jack has been occupying his time with sends the final clue to his mental breakdown.

Kubrick had each page individually typed ( errors included ! ).

For the Italian version of the film, Kubrick used the phrase ‘Il mattino ha l’ oro in bocca’

(‘He who wakes up early meets a golden day’).

For the German version, it was ‘Was Du heute kannst besorgen, das verschiebe nicht auf Morgen’

(‘Don’t postpone something, that can be done today.’)

For the Spanish version, it was ‘No por mucho madrugar amanece más temprano’

(‘Although one will rise early, it won’t dawn sooner.’)”

And this site looks like it has some good trivia too. Have to look at it when I’m less tired. Have a good one.
