In 2006 Birgitte Vittrup recruited from the database about a hundred families, all of whom were Caucasian with a child 5 to 7 years old. It was no surprise that in a liberal city like Austin, every parent was a welcoming multiculturalist, embracing diversity.
Asked how many white people are mean, these children commonly answered, "Almost none." Asked how many blacks are mean, many answered, "Some," or "A lot." Even kids who attended diverse schools answered the questions this way.

I agree! This reminds me of the study in Britain that showed if children didn’t like spicy food, they were probably racist! Furthermore, a panel was appointed to keep an eye on toddlers in daycare who refused spicy food, lest they be racist. Honestly..insanity rules the day.

I’ve got a great idea! Let’s just leave people alone! For my “study”, we turn off the tv and just let people live their lives. I know— it’s pretty radical. I think my study should last at least 200 years

After our next civil war, I propose we abolish the job of “activist”, and give them all grant money to learn how to work with their hands. Maybe in the crab-fishing industry.

My kids had friends of every color when they were in K-5th grade. But by the time they got into middle school all their friends were white.

It was the blacks who pulled away from the whites. In the early years they also all talked the same. By High School the majority of blacks were into street lingo.

When my daughter came to the United States for the first time, she was afraid of blacks, as well. She had never seen blacks before - she was Russian. Was she racist? No. Eventually her best friend was black. Sigh. When will the liberals get past looking for racism under every rock, or behind every set of blue eyes.
