Today, Deputy Judge David Elvin QC, quashed Justice Secretary Jack Straw's decision to continue detaining the prisoner, known only as 'A', in a male prison.
He was told that steps were already being put in place to transfer A to a female prison 'as soon as possible'.
The move will pave the way for 'A' to have the operation to fully change from a woman to a man. He has to live openly as a woman for two years before having the procedure.
A's health authority will have to foot the £8,000 bill for his sex change operation.

The guy rapes a WOMAN, then claims he is really a woman. The NHS pays for his gender change in prison where he is allowed to wear makeup and women's clothes as long as he is in his cell. There is a law in Britain that is a 2004 Gender Recognition Act Brits find themselves in this condition because of the European Union giving RIGHT to these creeps! And the TAXPAYERS pay for the operations and legal fees. It's going to cost over $100,000 to segregate him in a female prison.
“human rights”? It would have to be human to have rights.. it won’t stay segregated forever, we can only hope that women prisoners have their own sense of “jailhouse justice”.

This happens in a health care system that actively kills the elderly because health care for them is too expensive. But a $100K for a vanity operation is acceptable for criminals...

The “Lovley Ladies” will beat the shit out of the RAPIST. After the beatings start, the government will decide that prison is too dangerous and violates “its’” rights. So, they’ll have to release “it”. But it will be society’s fault.
It is shocking to me that there is a British law that gives these people rights. The comments on the original article are 100% against this thing.
That makes me wonder who is voting for this stuff.

After all, most men are lesbians trapped in men’s bodies.Actually, no. Most men don't want to get castrated, and have their "outie" turned into an "innie", to state the obvious. A "lesbian trapped in a man's body" would - though she might be concerned about the risk of surgery, the expense etc.
Perhaps I should explain. For my Sins, I've become something of an expert on various "disorders of sexual development" as the PC-term is these days. An "expert" being a drip under pressure, or someone who knows more and more about less and less, until they know everything about nothing. But I digress.
Anyway, I know a lot about Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia, Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, Persistent Mullerian Duct Syndrome, Mixed Gonadal Dysgenesis, Turner Syndrome, De La Chapelle Syndrome, etc etc etc and goodness knows how many other syndromes that don't have formal names. I've been called in by Professors of Psychology and Medicine to give lectures to 3rd year Med students and Psychs on the subject, even though I have no formal qualifications. It's a specialised area, and you don't have to know very much to know more than just about anyone else around. Scary, really.
OK, moving onto Transsexuality. What is it? A good description is "congenital neurological intersex syndrome". Congenital - meaning present since birth (actually, present since about week 12 in foetal development, we think, and certainly detectable at week 26 through autopsy). Neurological - meaning affecting the brain and central nervous system. Intersex - meaning a condition that matches neither typically male nor typically female biology, not completely.
OK, the sound byte: Female Brain in male body, or the reverse.
That's a horrible over-simplification, not all the brain is affected, saying "male" brain or "female" brain is a gross over-simplification itself, but unless you want me to talk about the Lymbic system and BSTc layer of the Hypothalamus and Grey matter in the putamen, it will have to do.
I feel dirty making such imprecise statements, but I really don't want to blind you with Science. Anyway, to say that trans people have brains of the opposite sex is more accurate than saying that men are taller than women.

Yes, we gave our presentation to 60 plus psychiatrists from the US, AU, FR, IT, EU, UK, Holland etc.
We spoke for 2 1/2 hours on why cross gender identity was a normal inherited variation of humans. We showed how Transgender Brains think, smell, and hear like the opposite sex. We presented internationally accepted guidelines for hormonal treatment of transsexuals to be published Summer 2009.
Here are my slides and with my participants' permission I shall send you theirs. We are now in print in the APA Syllabus and soon in the APA Journal this summer. I am checking if we were recorded.
My greatest personal compliment came from Frank Kruijver, from Holland, whose research of the human brain in TSs started it all. He thought we have taken his work very far in our understanding of the human brain. Hope you can do something with this.

So yes, there really are "lesbians trapped in men's bodies". They're not men, they don't think like men, their instincts are not male, they don't have typically male ballistic calculation ability, they do have typically female verbal ability, they have the more acute feminine sense of smell, etc etc. And they really, really hate having "that stuff" down there. Just as much as you really, really really wouldn't like to have your own cut off.
I suppose I better give a disclaimer here - my own Intersex condition (the reason I've researched this issue) is a rare one, protandrous dichogamous pseudohermaphroditism. It would take a gene test, an ultrasound, or a really invasive internal OB/GYN exam to show that I'm not quite the standard factory model female though. Most dichogamous pseudohermaphrodites are protogynous, not protandrous, due to either 5alpha-reductase-2 deficiency (5alpha-RD-2) or 17beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase-3 deficiency (17beta-HSD-3). But I suspect I'm confusing rather than enlightening people by now. Sorry.
Personally - and bear in mind I have no psychological training - I think this woman is crazy as a bedbug. dangerously criminally insane, and belongs in Broadmoor, the confinement and treatment facility for such people, rather than in the general prison system. With an indefinite sentence, release conditional only on definite permanent remission of the symptoms.
But she’s crazy not due to her transsexuality, but due to the fact that she’s narcissistic (ultimately selfish), and a dangerous sociopath. Maybe she can be healed and rehabilitated, but probably not. It’s not easy defining the line between pure evil and mental illness in such cases.
Some clarifying facts:
The initial homicide she was guilty of involved provocation. The judge thought the provocation was extreme, but I’m not sure I buy that. It was certainly due to her being driven insane by being a “woman in a man’s body”. The distress this causes is unimaginable, and many suicide. Too bad she killed someone else instead.
In order to enter prison on a serious charge, one that would mean she’d get a seriously long sentence, but which would mean that she could get the Genital Reconstruction Surgery she needed, she attempted to rape another woman. Now she’s neurologically female, so knew exactly just how much distress that would cause. She did it anyway. Her selfishness goes beyond evil and into insanity.
Gaining treatment for transsexuality under the UK NHS is a bit of a “postcode lottery”. Some Health Trusts make the patient wait for over ten years before treatment (most suicide or die of stress-related illness before then, which cuts costs), and some never authorise treatment, no matter what their legal obligations may be. Others comply with the law, exactly. This woman was unlucky.
Anyway, like many trans women, her neurological “device drivers” didn’t match her “peripherals”. She was (and is) impotent. Unable to function as a male. Hence *attempted* rather than *actual* rape.
She’s been granted a Gender Recognition Certificate under UK law. Now this means she must have lived full-time as a woman for at least 2 years. Moreover, she must have been examined very thoroughly and continuously over that period by not just one, but two specialist mental health professionals to ascertain that she was transsexual. That would have been difficult, since she’s obviously a dangerous, selfish and homicidal loony too.
A GRC means that she’s formally and legally recognised as a woman for *all* purposes. As soon as she was granted a GRC, she should have been moved to a female detention facility immediately. Once there, she’d be a candidate for the surgery that is absolutely necessary as a pre-condition for her safe release.
It’s not fashionable to call for the castration of rapists any more. But here we have someone to whom castration is *exactly* what is needed, not to prevent re-offense, but as a necessary pre-condition for any chance of her rehabilitation.
Personally, as I’ve said, it’s a long-shot. I don’t think she’ll ever be cured. But maybe I’m wrong. The removal of the likely cause of her being driven completely and dangerously nuts won’t cure her of itself. But without it, no cure is possible.
I would put her in solitary. Not for her own protection, but because she’s a violent sociopath. There’s no fear of rape using her masculinised genitalia - the hormone replacement therapy regimen in the UK for trans women includes Cyproterone Acetate, which is otherwise mainly used to chemically castrate rapists.
To keep a woman in a male jail is not just inhuman, it’s inhumane. Illegal too.
If anyone has any objection to her being granted recognition as female, that’s a separate issue, and one that should be addressed medically, not politically. Certainly the UK Gender Recognition Act is very imperfect, as it prohibits those with a genuine and incontrovertible Intersex condition from being recognised, while allowing those who haven’t had surgery to be recognised.
Whatever, dude. I hope you didn’t expect me to read that whole post. You take the joke way too seriously.
There’s so much misinformation about the subject, and lack of knowledge about the issue, that I thought it was a good opportunity to let other Freepers know about it.
