Thanks for the ping.
Figured you deserved a ping!
Thanks, looks like another east coaster, maybe.
I see the TX drought has finally made national news, albeit overshadowed by the LA inferno.
We have had a little rain for two days in a row from Jimena. Not near enough to break the drought though.
Our California drought is one of the main reasons for our fires.
It has pained me to see the LA fires. We hear about CA fires every year. Quite striking to learn the location of the current fires hasn’t burned in at least half a century.
Too early to be complacent, but it looks like Erika is following Bill and Danny.
Thanks for the post...stay dry!
I’ll be quietly following the hurricane threads. I’ve learned...you don’t need people without a clue giving an opinion! Good luck, and God speed!
TANKS,NN...
Thanks for checking in! Please keep us updated on the fire weather situation in CA. Likewise, if you have questions about tropical storms, there is a wealth of knowledge here with FReepers who follow storms not only for the safety of life and property (that’s me), but also because the storms are fascinating and quirky.
Ping.
Thankz for the ping NN
Is there any program for controlled burns in California?
Is there any program for firebreaks and fire access roads?
Yeah, we see CA burning every year. I’d have thought CA would have been totally ashen by now!..............
I understand CA has no money for fire prevention measures, and they won’t allow volunteers to do it for fear of lawsuits.
Thanks, this one we might have to keep an eye on.
