Thousands of Texans poured into the capitol and other major cities across the state on Saturday to demand that their elected officials immediately deliver an ultimatum to Washington: "sovereignty or secession."...

All those stats are true. But if we had a real border, these stats would be much better. Texas’s demographics are brought down by all the illegals that are here. They don’t finish school and many remain below the poverty level. Since the statistics include the illegals, it does look bad.
My point remains--it wasn't Yamamoto that thought we'd be easy prey.
Will I need a passport?, visa?, green card?.
Secession is just another way of saying "cut and run". Heroes served, fought and died under the flag that "cut and run", cowards disgraced at their rally in Texas. Their key speaker stated that he was ashamed to have the US flag flown above the Texas state flag. He then went on to proclaim his intense hatred for our flag. This coward's statements made my blood boil almost as much as seeing FReeprs praise his cowardly statements against our great nation. I enlisted under Reagan and retired under Bush II and I never adjusted my love of country based on the politics of the time. You're either a Patriot or a cut and run coward, there is no in between! God Bless America!
Well, I wonder what was stopping the state from protecting their own borders? Don’t tell me the evil federal government is in charge of keeping the flower of Texas from wilting. Wonder how they’ll do when Texas is on its own and not suckling on the Uncle Sam’s tit.
That’s a bunch of crap. You think that you’re the only one that served in the military? I suppose those that fought in the Revolutionary War were just cut and run cowards, too? Robert E. Lee was just another one of those cut and run cowards. If that is what your definition of cut and run cowards is, then I’m proud to be one of them.
Ditto! Sovereignty or secession has a nice ring to it. I hope it doesn’t come down to this though. It would be a damn shame.
No, tienes pasaporte, visado, y tarjeta verde.
What would Mr. Jefferson think about the matter?
Since our state is still part of the USA, the border is a federal issue. Two years ago, the national guard was sent to the border for some reason, but the feds didn’t allow them to be armed. Big help that was. As for Texas making it on it’s own, we can.
