According to the US Census Bureau (http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/48000.html), Texas is below the national average in percentages of high school and college graduates, home ownership and home value, and median and per capita income. On the other hand, Texas is above the national average in the number of people per household, percentage of the population below the poverty level, and people under the age of 18. The PM of of New Selinda once said that when New Zealanders move to Australia it raises the IQ of both countries; sounds like the same might be true of people moving to Texas.
