We've arrived at the end of an eventful summer. We know our country is at a crossroads...many of the commentators are wondering what the President will do when he returns to Washington: push ahead with his agenda to total control of healthcare delivery and insurance or backtrack to get more achievable bills thru Congress.
Whatever.
We know the fight is not over, which ever choice HE makes. There's only one real fork to this crossroads, and it's called the Freedom Road.

Good morning all, nice and clear here this morning although breezy.
We are invited to a party this afternoon, I made key lime bars. I hope they’ve turned out OK, both the high altitude (although I followed the special directions for that) and this RV oven make me skittish about pastry baking.
I wish I had a real one....I'm using the convection as a microwave only.
Where do you find all of these breakfast photos, lysie? Seems like a new one every day. They make me hungry.

Egg day today, clean out the hen house, wait till the dew goes away and then cut the yard, SIL fixed my finishing mower so can use the tractor.
Reckon ya’ll are like me, worn out on the Kennedy death and more to come, p lease, just say ‘bye’ and get on with it.
gonna be fun watching who will replace him.
NEWS! I have two grandsons who are full of ‘get up and go’ all the time, I just love it, God has really blessed us with them, one thing for sure, they sure keep me young(er).
One more cup of coffee, eat me a egg or two (fresh like gathered today), THINK or cleaning my ‘shack in the back’, feed the animals, get in my ‘yard cutting clothes’, with small towel to wipe the sweat.
One last word to Kennedy. BYE!

Other than a very few hot days (5 or 6) it really doesn't feel as if we had summer at all; just a prolonged spring, fading into an early autumn.
I personally prefer it that way.:)

I enjoy the night shuttle launches, even from my distance. I've also watched one go up at the Cape, but it was during the day.

8 months ago for me. If there was a way to erase it completely.
Wellllllllll anyhooo..Renata has brought home 2 ea, 6 month old guinnea pigs for Zay. This weekend is “Dad’s” weekend so Zay won’t see them until Monday evening.
I’m not a fan of pet rodents.
But he will be so giddy when he sees them.
