The “Chappaquiddick incident” refers to the death of Mary Jo Kopechne, a former campaign worker for the assassinated U.S. Senator Robert F. Kennedy of New York.
In July 1969, Kopechne’s dead body was discovered inside an overturned car belonging to Senator Edward “Ted” Kennedy of Massachusetts under water in a tidal channel on Chappaquiddick Island, Massachusetts.
Rest in peace Mary, your killer has finally been brought to justice and he is before the Judge as I type this.
The inquest into Kopechne’s death took place in Edgartown in January 1970. At the request of Kennedy’s lawyers, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ordered that it be conducted in secret. The 763-page transcript of the inquest was released four months later. Judge James A. Boyle presided at the inquest. Among Judge Boyle’s conclusions in his inquest report were the following:
Under Massachusetts law Boyle, having found “probable cause” that Kennedy had committed a crime, could have issued a warrant for his arrest, but he did not do so. District Attorney Dinis chose not to pursue Kennedy for manslaughter, despite Judge Boyle’s conclusions.
Yes, we need the truth to be recorded because the MSM has already started the canonization process of Teddy!! >:-(
I’ll go scrounge around youtube and see what I can find, IF it hasn’t already been ‘cleansed’ by the liberals!
Lest we forget Ted Kennedy offering his help to the Soviets in a public relations effort to thwart the reelection of Ronald Reagan.
A KGB letter written at the height of the Cold War shows that Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) offered to assist Soviet leaders in formulating a public relations strategy to counter President Reagans foreign policy and to complicate his re-election efforts.
The letter, dated May 14, 1983, was sent from the head of the KGB to Yuri Andropov, who was then General Secretary of the Soviet Unions Communist Party.
In his letter, KGB head Viktor Chebrikov offered Andropov his interpretation of Kennedys offer. Former U.S. Sen. John Tunney (D-Calif.) had traveled to Moscow on behalf of Kennedy to seek out a partnership with Andropov and other Soviet officials, Kengor claims in his book.
At one point after President Reagan left office, Tunney acknowledged that he had played the role of intermediary, not only for Kennedy but for other U.S. senators, Kengor said. Moreover, Tunney told the London Times that he had made 15 separate trips to Moscow.
OK FOLKS ... SHAME ON YOU!
How dare you to not recognize that in DEATH this piece of fat pork
will yield Massachusetts what they desperately crave ... worms will benefit
and the Boston’s “big dig” will have finally realized some true meaning
... life DOES EXIST in a meaningful manner in this liberal STATE.
I hope and pray that the smothering of dirt on his pale face yield some
similarity, and justice, to what he legislated on Mary Jo Kopeckne when
he failed to come to her aid, and let her drown, while “Teddy Bear”
slimed home to have his glass of wine in his plush surroundings of shame!
NOW ... GO CELEBRATE YOUR KENNEDY? ... you Massachusetts Libs?
You kill your young ladies ... and MURDER babies which is what you are MOST proud of!
Nuff said.
Kicked out of college for cheating.
Yep, while we can mourn his passing, and feel for the family, we can also talk about these other things.
I would list the Immigration Act of 1965, which opened America to large numbers of immigrants from third world countries. At the time, Ted Kennedy was adamant that this new immigration law would not result in major changes to the American population. He said that American cities would not have large isolated immigrant communities. He said that we would not see enclaves of immigrants speaking other languages, and not assimilating. He said we would not see major changes in the predominantly European ethnic background of the population.
I would also add that we now “Bork” judicial nominees because of Ted’s example. At the time Reagan nominated Judge Bork to the Supreme Court, Ted Kennedy gave a forceful speech opposing Judge Bork. Many of us remember he shouted that Judge Bork’s America was a land of back alley abortions, yadda, yadda, yadda. And that set the stage for his nomination hearings to become a circus.

Socialism hasnt worked in 6,000 years of recorded history because it didnt have me to run it. - Ted KennedyAnd despite all his efforts to the contrary, it never worked in America either. Even with him as the Jackal of the Senate trying his best to implement it. May God have mercy on his soul...but we are better as a nation with him permanenetly out of that position of power and influence.
The best epitath for this leftist, socialists, corrupt old man would be for a conservative or at the least a moderate, to be elected to fill his seat by the people of Mass.
Now we have Barrack Hussein Obama and his ilk, who will surely try to use the death of Kennedy to push through the biggest socialization effort in American history - ObamaCare.
We cannot let it happen. Stand firm, speak out, lean into their storm of word and ideologies...and push them back.

I’m already tired of him being called the “lion of the senate.”
How about the pig of the senate? That would be more appropriate.
When I heard the news last night all I could think about was Mary Jo Kopechne struggling to breath in the air pocket of Kennedy’s car in the murky depths of Poucha Pond.
Then I thought about who might run for the seat. A nightmarish thought entered my mind: Barney Fwank.
When I tuned into the radio this morning it was announced that a member of “America’s royal family” had passed away. I nearly gagged. A dynasty founded by a bootlegger, gangster, and stock manipulator. A bunch of over rated drug abusers, alcoholics, and philanderers if you ask me.
Oh btw while I’m still at it: Last year when a true giant of the senate, Jesse Helms, passed away, barely a mention in the MSM. But then again Sen. Helms didn’t have the flamboyant lifestyle of the Kennedys.
All I know is this: Ted Kennedy has some splainin to do today.
Let us offer up some prayers for his victims including Mary Jo Kopechne and her unborn baby as well as Ted’s first wife, Joan, who turned to alcoholism as a response to her husband’s ceaseless philandering and callous behavior.
And the MSM-—the biggest disgusting pigs along with Hollyweird which promotes all this crap. I’m surprised there isn’t a reality show on the Kennedys given all of their drama, depravity, and dysfunction.
The night of drinking at O'Bar.
He Lost to Jimmy Carter.
I’ve heard it was the Democrat majority in Congress, led by Ted Kennedy, that cut supplies to South Vietnam in 1974, leaving our then allies to fend for themself. Until that time they were successfully defending themselves, but Ted and the Demoncrats had other plans for them. Somewhere around 2 million South Vietnamese died as the communists swept down from the north.
Also served as the #2 on the Senate Judiciary Committee that tried to destroy Clarence Thomas after his nomination to the SCOTUS.
Last Of The Kennedy Dynasty
As soon as his cancer was detected, I noticed the immediate attempt at the "canonization" of old Teddy Kennedy by the mainstream media. They are saying what a "great American" he is. I say, let's get a couple things clear & not twist the facts to change the real history.
1. He was caught cheating at Harvard when he attended it. He was expelled twice, once for cheating on a test, and once for paying a classmate to cheat for him.
2. While expelled, Kennedy enlisted in the Army, but mistakenly signed up for four years instead of two. Oops! The man can't count to four! His father, Joseph P. Kennedy, former U.S. Ambassador to England (a step up from bootlegging liquor into the US from Canada during prohibition), pulled the necessary strings to have his enlistment shortened to two years, and to ensure that he served in Europe, not Korea , where a war was raging. No preferential treatment for him! (like he charged that President Bush received).
3. Kennedy was assigned to Paris , never advanced beyond the rank of Private, and returned to Harvard upon being discharged. Imagine a person of his "education" NEVER advancing past the rank of Private!
4. While attending law school at the University of Virginia , he was cited for reckless driving four times, including once when he was clocked driving 90 miles per hour in a residential neighborhood with his headlights off after dark. Yet his Virginia driver's license was never revoked. Coincidentally, he passed the bar exam in 1959. Amazing!
5. In 1964, he was seriously injured in a plane crash, and hospitalized for several months. Test results done by the hospital at the time he was admitted had shown he was legally intoxicated. The results of those tests remained a "state secret" until in the 1980's when the report was unsealed. Didn't hear about that from the unbiased media, did we?
6. On July 19, 1969, Kennedy attended a party on Chappaquiddick Island in Massachusetts .. At about 11:00 PM, he borrowed his chauffeur's keys to his Oldsmobile limousine, and offered to give a ride home to Mary Jo Kopechne, a campaign worker. Leaving the island via an unlit bridge with no guard rail, Kennedy steered the car off the bridge, flipped, and into Poucha Pond.
7. He swam to shore and walked back to the party, passing several houses and a fire station. Two friends then returned with him to the scene of the accident. According to their later testimony, they told him what he already knew - that he was required by law to immediately report the accident to the authorities. Instead Kennedy made his way to his hotel, called his lawyer, and went to sleep. Kennedy called the police the next morning and by then the wreck had already been discovered. Before dying, Kopechne had scratched at the upholstered floor above her head in the upside-down car....
The Kennedy family began "calling in favors", ensuring that any inquiry would be contained. Her corpse was whisked out-of-state to her family, before an autopsy could be conducted. Further details are uncertain, but after the accident Kennedy says he repeatedly dove under the water trying to rescue Kopechne and he didn't call police because he was in a state of shock. It is widely assumed Kennedy was drunk, and he held off calling police in hopes that his family could fix the problem overnight.... Since the accident, Kennedy's "political enemies" have referred to him as the distinguished Senator from Chappaquiddick. He pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident, and was given a SUSPENDED SENTENCE OF TWO MONTHS. Kopechne's family received a small payout from the Kennedy's insurance policy, and never sued. There was later an effort to have her body exhumed and autopsied, but her family successfully fought against this in court, and Kennedy's family paid their attorney's bills... a "token of friendship"?
8. Kennedy has held his Senate seat for more than forty years, but considering his longevity, his accomplishments seem scant. He authored or argued for legislation that ensured a variety of civil rights, increased the minimum wage in 1981, made access to health care easier for the indigent, and funded Meals on Wheels for fixed-income seniors and is widely held as the "standard-bearer for liberalism". In his very first Senate roll, he was the floor manager for the bill that turned U.S. immigration policy upside down and opened the floodgate for immigrants from third world countries.
9. Since that time, he has been the prime instigator and author of every expansion of an increase in immigration, up to and including the latest attempt to grant amnesty to illegal aliens. Not to mention the pious grilling he gave the last two Supreme Court nominees, as if he was the standard bearer for the nation in matters of "what's right". What a pompous ass!
10. He is known around Washington as a public drunk, loud, boisterous and very disrespectful to ladies. JERK is a better description than "great American". "A blonde in every pond" is his motto.
Let's not allow the spin doctors make this jerk a hero -- how quickly the American public forget s what his real legacy is. Let's keep this going for truth, justice and the American way!
End government propaganda on Medicare bill.
Kennedy signed a letter from 6 Senators to Directors of Television Networks
Recently, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through a public relations firm, distributed Video News Releases (VNRs) to numerous local television news stations across the country. These VNRs contain pre-scripted news story packages and B-Roll designed to influence local news station to run stories complimentary of the new Medicare law recently signed by President Bush. However, these VNRs may mislead many news stations because they do not identify that they are produced by the government. In addition, these materials are currently being evaluated to determine whether they are illegal “covert propaganda.”
We urge you to immediately warn stations not to use these materials and pull any stories that use them.
These tapes can be identified as follows: Two English-language versions begin with B-Roll of video slides promoting the new Medicare law, followed by interview soundbites from Tommy Thompson, Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services and Leslie Norwalk, Acting Deputy Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). Following these soundbites, a complete television news package is run, with a voice-over by a fictional reporter named “Karen Ryan.” Following the news package, more B-Roll is provided, including scenes of President Bush’s rally at the signing of the bill, scenes from a pharmacy and scenes of seniors playing table games.
It is critical to the credibility of an independent news media that covert government propaganda be rejected for use by news organizations. We also believe that honest government should not resort to such deceptive tactics, and it is our belief that these materials violate the above-mentioned Federal law. Thank you for your cooperation with this request.
