In the Stimulus Bill it says, the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective.

Under this criteria, Kennedy wouldn't have gotten any treatment. Wise opponents will use that against Obamacare.

Sadly I think Teddy’s death will be used as a a rallying cry to pass Obamacare as a legacy to Kennedy. I expect at least one of the health care bills will now be renamed the Kennedy Health Care Act.
