Police: Wanted reality TV star found dead
Jenkins was accused of killing ex-wife before fleeing to Canada
VANCOUVER, British Columbia - A reality show contestant wanted for murder in the gruesome death and mutilation of his ex-wife was found dead Sunday of an apparent suicide after hanging himself in a secluded Canadian motel, authorities said.
Sgt. Duncan Pound of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police border integrity unit says police responded to a call about a dead person in Hope, east of Vancouver, and then called investigators who were part of the massive manhunt for Jenkins.
The real estate developer and investor was wanted in California on first-degree murder charges after the mutilated body of his ex-wife was found in a trash bin in Buena Park, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) southeast of Los Angeles.

Good. He saved us another media circus side show.
that’s it, then, too bad he didn’t do this in the first place
At least he died with his teeth and fingers.
RIH
Well that’s a new one.
Sometimes the story lines for a CSI episode just write themselves...
“NRIH”- NO Rest in Hell!
“...some honor in his killing himself.”
Not at all. He was not only a cold blooded murderer, but he was a coward too.
Hanging oneself is a very gruesome and painfully slow way to die. I wonder why he chose that after traveling such a long way and having the time and opportunity for other methods?
>> Investigators used the serial numbers on her breast implants to identify her ...
>> Well that’s a new one.
Not really. In an aircraft accident, implants result in a quick positive ID. Remember the ValueJet crash in the Florida Everglades? There wasn’t much left, but there were lotsa implants that survived.
Y’know, I don’t know whether to be proud or to be ashamed.
I just don’t know who the H*** this guy is...nor his, sadly, deceased wife.
Frankly, it isn’t gruesome enough.
Now, if he had ripped out all of his teeth and slashed himself all up, than, I’d say he did to himself what he enjoyed giving to an innocent person.
That would be “fair.”
Honor is a stretch.........but I am grateful that he settled the issue without costing us tons of dollars in extradition, a trial and keeping him alive the rest of his sorry life.
But I'm sure it will now show up as a main plot line in one of these shows very soon.
You'd be surprised at how few people realize that about suspension hanging, or don't know the difference between suspension and drop hanging (not that I think that even a well executed [no pun intended] drop hanging is painless).
Hanging is not an cowardly way to go. Often people have to make a second attempt because of being unable to follow through on the first attempt, tying their hands before the second attempt so they can follow through.
good riddance
i have no sympathy for men who kill God’s finest creations...beautiful women or little kids
Actually, I was thinking “rot”, but yours works, too.
I disagree. It is one of the most selfish, cowardly acts a person can commit. In this case, you forever scar your loved ones with such a legacy, and, to avoid justice and punishment, you end your life.
"Saint Peter, who's our next contestant on 'You Bet Your Afterlife'?
"Johnny, we have a 32-year-old real estate mogul who murdered and mutilated his swimsuit-model ex-wife before tossing her in a dumpster then fleeing the country, only to hang himself in a motel room right outside the U.S. border. Please welcome..."
((tepid applause))
"Sooooo, Mr. Jenkins. Gee, we just had your wife on the show last week! Nice lady. In fact, she's backstage now with a cattle prod and a chainsaw. Ladies and gentlemen, let's welcome back to our show, Ms. Jasmine..."
