White House increases size of Emperor's Flight Restriction (EFR) over Cape, Islands
NOAA/FAA

Is reported previously, the FAA had issued a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) for Cape Code and the islands because of Obama's vacation on the Vineyard. Unlike TFRs issued for Bush when he went on vacation that typically had a 3-10 mile radius, Obama's had a 30 mile radius, shutting-down half a dozen small airports in the area during one of their busiest business weeks of the season.
Apparently, that wasn't enough Royal Obama Airspace. The EFR was extended even further out, closing small airports out to forty miles, including Falmouth Airpark, Cape Cod Airport, Barnstable Municipal-Boardman/Polando Field, Marthas Vineyard, Katama Airpark, Plymouth Municipal, New Bedford Regional, Chatham Municipal, Myricks, Monponsett Pond, Taunton Municipal, Cranland, Marshfield Municipal, and Provincetown Municipal.
How a president threats the nation's people and small businesses tells us far more than all the teleprompter speeches he will ever deliver.

I think the press etc. had to do the same thing when Clinton visited MV in August 1997. Heavy security during Clinton's visit but the public got a good look at his motorcade, lots of people lining the street for a good look.
It almost seems as if BO is retracing Clinton's steps from his 1997 visit.

"Probably on the First Lady's orders." Perhaps I'm just being "nit picky", but IMHO the first family should be attired in what might be described as "business casual" (at a minimum) when traveling on government transport. I don't believe they should be looking like they've just spent the last 6 hours in an amusement park.
Yeah, I know - I'm probably just a racist.

This sounds like more than a little paranoid insecurity. Surely this administration, the Secret Service, and the FAA have enough continuity to know what is necessary and appropriate.

We arent ALL bad. I just have to laugh though. These guys come onto the Cape and screw everything up during the busiest time of the year. Its like the big white shark eating people on the 4th of July. It really ain’t good for business.

The smell of BO, and the little witch he's married to should make all decent folk steer clear anyway! Maybe all the fools that voted for the emperor might be disappointed?

Then, since President Bush radius of protection (air) was sometimes three miles and sometimes ten miles, and uhbama's is going to be a THIRTY MILE RADIUS which will negatively impact their economy up there (could not happen to a more arrogant group-but I am sorry for the guys who run their smaller airports and depend on this tourist season time for much of their livihood, and of course all of the pilots, etc that are impacted)...well, it would seem that uhbama must be much more HATED than President Bush.

Sorry, but this claim is just plain incorrect.
The TFRs around Waco (during AF-1 arrival and departure) and Bush's ranch in Crawford were almost exactly the same as Obama's: 10 nautical mile no-fly zone, and a TFR out to 30 nautical miles.
See my previous post for the details and a diagram:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2320498/posts?page=108#108
One big difference: Pilots can indeed fly into and out of the airport within Obama's no-fly zone, albeit with some heavy restrictions. There was nothing like that in Bush's no-fly zone over his ranch, although there were no busy airports within the 10 NM ring.
