I'm sittin here with not much to do and figured this could be an interesting thread for those on FR that ride bikes and could share some info on bikes, maintenance, how to pack for that long road trip, horror stories (near misses). Maybe find some local FRiends to go ride with etc. etc.

I had the opprotunity to do some tire evaluation and testing for Dunlop on a ZX12.
Problem was.... I couldn’t concentrate on the tires performance because I was so caught up in the awesomeness of the bike.
Sick, man. Sick.

It is absolutely ridiculous. I have a very sticky Shinko tire on the rear, and with the extended swingarm, you can really pour the coal first few gears, and as I said, it's ridiculous.

The one I road was fgactory stock turn-key. Without the extended swing arm like yours, the front end comes up on demand. It didn’t have any traction control like some factory sponsored bikes, so pulling the front wheel while the rear is squirming at 95mph out of a 300ft ess is effortless. And fun a hell! When I could get traction and keep the front tire down, it pulled with a vigor in 5th gear that most bikes can’t match in second.
...and thats turn-key on pump gas.

not bad for perfection.. of course, i could re-jet, open up the intake and exhaust for about that.
what i really need to do is decide if i’m gonna keep this bike.. i’ve still got that desire for one of the ducati sport classics :)

Who doesn’t? But thats a cafe bike.
Fun as hell to ride but gets old quick, like a hot chick that gripes too much.

love cafe bikes.. my first couple bikes were that cb350 and cl450. besides, the ducati has almost 2x the hp as my shadow and weighs about 100# less.

Double, no. It’s Larry Hagman. The other is Willie G. Davidson, Great Grandson of Harley-Davidson’s co-founder.

Beautiful paint, envisio. You really have some talent.
I really like the update to the CB750; nice job.
I recently took on a major update to my FXRS; after 27 years of use the paint was starting to look a little ratty. I had to farm out the paint work though.

Thanks man, I like the blue marble it better than the chameleon. Plus I had never marblized before so I wanted to try it. Here is the chameleon before I repainted it.
I paid $200 bucks for that bike with the engine laying in the dirt beside it.
