Sometimes translations creates it’s own puns.

Teh baby nap attack went pretty well ... baby is still napping. Vlad had a nap, which he desperately needed after a disturbed night because of his sunburn. They can all go out to the lake in about half an hour.

I plan to kayak this afternoon. Shall I wear my too-small bathing suit? I fear I shall ...

DP couldn’t figure out ordering a music book from Spain, because he can’t read Spanish. I emailed the Battleaxe and told her she should email the musician in Spain and see if he’d send her his book. My Spanish isn’t up to it!

Google has a translation app...
It works...But don’t tell the Battleaxe I said so.

;o]

I take it y’all are enjoying your vacation?

My son, Hockeybughow went to Mexico Friday to meet a new flame, and promised he’d call when he got in. He called me yesterday morning, and I said, “Did you just get in???”

Obviously, he’s having a great time.

I wonder what I’d do if I had the money to go somewhere, and nothing to do when I got there...?

T-C dips her toe into the waters of social consciousness ...

"Shall I wear my too-small bathing suit? I fear I shall ..."

To wonder, “Do I dare?” and, “Do I dare?” Time to turn back and descend the stair,

...

Shall I part my hair behind? Do I dare to eat a peach?
I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk upon the beach.
I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.

I do not think that they will sing to me.

I have seen them riding seaward on the waves
Combing the white hair of the waves blown back
When the wind blows the water white and black.

We have lingered in the chambers of the sea
By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown
Till human voices wake us, and we drown.

From "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock"

by T.S. Eliot (1888–1965)

I wonder, too! I bring my job with me on vacation ;-). We'd love to have you here, of course, if only you weren't too far away.

DP's going to show me, later, where he thinks you can order something from the "guitarra.com" site, if only you know Spanish and can pay in Euros! It's time to get outdoors, snoobage and all.

Takes me back to, iirc, high school. I shall wear my Free Republic t-shirt with my bathing suit that shows rather too much bosom.

I would bring nothing but my conscience!

When I get rich, you’ll be first on my list of Who To Visit, with my younger sister being second. (FL)

On my way home, I’ll have to visit fanfan, and HTB. When I get rich...

Maybe OldTax-lady will invite me to Las Vegas someday. She said we’d go to Rome in 2013, but she may have changed her mind by then and want to stay in the U.S.

You’re always welcome!

I wore my cute little self out, today! But I DID get a lot done! I got a 6-drawer dresser on freecycle, and had to fix a drawer, but all the clothes that were just stacked up are now in hiding, with room to spare. YES!

My floors are clean, the shelf that was holding all sorts of things is now holding next to nothing, the scanner is now on the file cabinet, and the step-stool is now waiting to be used for something other than holding “things.”

Of course, I may sleep like the dead tonight, but that’s good, too!

Tomorrow, I’ll just file a few things that are left and clean off the table and my place will look bigger. I hope.

;o]

I wish I felt like this ALL the time! I could get used to getting up feeling like I could woop the world!

That's good news!

Things are still slow today. The sionnsareens were away early to work and I slept in.

Missed my European committee teleconference, but then they didn't announce it until 1:30 AM my time, to be held at 8 AM my time. This means there may be no real need for me to join tomorrow's joint teleconference, since I don't know my team's position.

Still thinking about the triptych LoM wants and went out with the camera to a spot that held promise, thinking with the heavy clouds I could get some good dramatic shots using High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging -- but the clouds were moving too fast, it was drizzling, and I don't have (haven't made) an umbrella attachment for the camera so I bagged it went home.

Need to update the church website and my work blog.

According to what I saw on the alphabet channels this morning, Puget Sound got a lot of heavy weather in the last 36 hours.

It’s good to know you’re still alive and kicking!

Tomorrow, I’ll probably complain about how rotten my life is, but for today, I felt pretty darn good! AND got a lot done that REALLY needed to be done. *pat-pat* I’m trying to stay up for another hour or two so I don’t wake up in the middle of the night wondering what happened, and why did I DO that??!!

Oh-no! Not Queen Ash?

She’ll run until she is too tired, and she won’t care where she ends up. :o[

Keep me posted...

She was interested in the neighbors.

I'd check all the neighbors.

They found her. She’d gone next door, waterline-wise, but it was sort of around the next block road-wise. They have a dog, too.

Her tag has our house phone number on it. We’ll have to get a new one with the house and DP’s cell.

The kayaking was fun. We’ll just have to make sure Ash is in her cage next time DP and I are both away from the house.

Ash has had her supper and is ready to lie down now!

I bet Ash is really worn out!
Probably the most fun she’s had since she was a captive racer!
