Teh baby nap attack went pretty well ... baby is still napping. Vlad had a nap, which he desperately needed after a disturbed night because of his sunburn. They can all go out to the lake in about half an hour.

I plan to kayak this afternoon. Shall I wear my too-small bathing suit? I fear I shall ...

DP couldn’t figure out ordering a music book from Spain, because he can’t read Spanish. I emailed the Battleaxe and told her she should email the musician in Spain and see if he’d send her his book. My Spanish isn’t up to it!

Google has a translation app...
It works...But don’t tell the Battleaxe I said so.

;o]

I take it y’all are enjoying your vacation?

My son, Hockeybughow went to Mexico Friday to meet a new flame, and promised he’d call when he got in. He called me yesterday morning, and I said, “Did you just get in???”

Obviously, he’s having a great time.

I wonder what I’d do if I had the money to go somewhere, and nothing to do when I got there...?

T-C dips her toe into the waters of social consciousness ...

"Shall I wear my too-small bathing suit? I fear I shall ..."

To wonder, “Do I dare?” and, “Do I dare?” Time to turn back and descend the stair,

...

Shall I part my hair behind? Do I dare to eat a peach?
I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk upon the beach.
I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.

I do not think that they will sing to me.

I have seen them riding seaward on the waves
Combing the white hair of the waves blown back
When the wind blows the water white and black.

We have lingered in the chambers of the sea
By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown
Till human voices wake us, and we drown.

From "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock"

by T.S. Eliot (1888–1965)
