Go Steelers!
Yummy!
I’d rather starve.
$90 is nothing for a snack in a luxury suite.
I’ve seen $150 submarines at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
That’s just a fact of owning/leasing a suite at a sports complex, and you know that going in.
You can watch the game for free on TV. Why would anyone pay $500 or more to take the wife and 2 kids to a Pro game anymore is beyond me.
LOL! The 'Boys have made some horrendous personnel decisions the last ten years.
Geez. And they complain about declining attendance?
In luxury suites, the expenses pretty much come out of marketing and miscellaneous expense budgets which account for it. Most suites in these parts are used for legit business purposes rather than just to watch the game. Still, for institutional food, that’s steep.
Not to worry. Obama will soon introduce his “Cash for Pepperoni” subsidy program.
Another reason why I always hated organized sports. Rah, rah, rah....huh?
Was this built with taxpayer money?
That's a bargain at only $5.50 a bottle. Giant's stadium price last year was $8.00 for a draft domestic.
Another example of why pro sports is dead to me now.
ALL Pro teams, in every sport, are leveraged to the maximum in order to stay afloat. They did it to themselves, with the help of the players unions and via free-agency.
Virtually every team must have a packed house for all games, parking and concessions must sell big, memoribillia must sell briskly and the luxury boxes must have deep pocketed patrons that can drop thousands of dollars a game. Otherwise, they will lose money and will have to threaten the locals with sweetheart leases, stadiums, concession/parking deals, or else they’ll move.
The problem is, to do all that, teams have to field winners that almost “win it all”, every year. And that isn’t possible.
Luckily for the pro franchises, they’ve got the demographics that show how many people of ample income are inclined to drop serious dough on their “product.” To them, the people who just like sports and would like to witness a game now and then are not really welcome. Want to go to a game? Take out a loan losers.
