The colossal new Dallas Cowboys Stadium is living proof that everything is bigger in Texas. The menu in the luxury suites proves that things there are more expensive too.
Those enjoying a Cowboys game from a luxury suite at the new stadium will have to shell out $90 for pizza and $66 for a 12-pack of domestic beer, reports Steven Sipple of the Lincoln Journal World. Ninety bucks for pizza? That's almost as much of a rip-off as Roy Williams.

Go Steelers!
Yummy!
I’d rather starve.
$90 is nothing for a snack in a luxury suite.
I’ve seen $150 submarines at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
That’s just a fact of owning/leasing a suite at a sports complex, and you know that going in.
Romo can blame the pizza when he chokes in December!
You can watch the game for free on TV. Why would anyone pay $500 or more to take the wife and 2 kids to a Pro game anymore is beyond me.
LOL! The 'Boys have made some horrendous personnel decisions the last ten years.
I still say the best season the Cowboys ever had was in ‘89 when they went 1-15..:-)

You’re right, mate!
I don’t attend professional sports events anymore (no, not even the mighty All Blacks). Too expensive for the value you get. You get better (free) entertainment at the club level, one step below professional. Join a local club for about $100 per year, watch the game, have a brew with the team after the game in the clubhouse...
...that’s a great way to enjoy sports. $90 pizzas? $800K corporate boxes? Bah — that’s for pooftas.
Geez. And they complain about declining attendance?
You do understand that by buying those $150 submarines you are lining the pockets of hte thugs in the NFL, don’t you?
WHere do you think that money is going?
Last big stadium I was in it was $6 a beer and $5 per slice. That $30 a six pack and $60 for 12 piece pizza a bit different than the sensationalized headline but that’s the MSM.
In luxury suites, the expenses pretty much come out of marketing and miscellaneous expense budgets which account for it. Most suites in these parts are used for legit business purposes rather than just to watch the game. Still, for institutional food, that’s steep.
Actually, stuff like this gives Capitalism a GOOD rap.
People with products and services willing to
People with money willing to spend it.
Host a corporate party in one of the suites often enough, with real customers, and those $150 subs and $80 six-packs aren’t even an issue.
???
Everything I buy must line some “thug’s” pockets?
The only questions I care about are:
a) Do I want it?
b) Can I afford it?
Not to worry. Obama will soon introduce his “Cash for Pepperoni” subsidy program.
I'd have to believe that most of the suites are owned by corporations, and are used almost exclusively by top management, who view it as an executive perk. They aren't paying for the pizza and beer, the stockholders are, even though that kind of expenditure is kept way, way down on the radar screen.
The average employee never will see the inside of one of these suites, which is probably a good thing, or they might storm the place like the Bastille after the next round of job cuts.
