Dissolvable bikini row
A bikini that dissolves in water has outraged killjoy women's rights campaigners.
The saucy thong swimsuit - sold as the perfect present for dumped boyfriends - looks like a real bikini but disappears completely after just a few seconds in water.
Sellers in Germany bill the Get Naked costume as a chance for men to get their own back after a break-up.
But women's rights campaigner Rosmarie Zapfl stormed: "It is an absolute insult to women that this has been invented."
The dissolvable bikinis are being sold on the German revenge website www.racheshop.de with sizes 34 and 36 in a thong version and 38, 40 and 42 with bikini bottoms.

Children in Germany are "sexualized," for lack of a better term, at a very early age. Note - I don't agree with it, I'm just pointing out the facts.
It's not so much sexualized, that happens in the US as well (I would argue that Christina Aguilera in a thong dry-humping a motorbike is more sexual than a naked middle-aged mother of four with sagging breasts). The difference is that nudity / nudism has a long tradition in Germany (one of the few ways to rebell during the Kaiser's reign) and isn't necessarily seen as sexual, if it's not in a sexual context. Letting children up to the age of 3 or 4 play naked in the garden (in summer) is completely acceptable (it's like:"they don't mind, so why shouldn anyone else"). German beaches (yes, there are beaches in Germany, although the season is very short) have nudist sections, some public swimming pools in Germany offer nudist hours.
So nudity isn't always perceived as sexual and therefore not as strict a taboo in the US. While in the US such a prank would be considered sexually demeaning, in Germany it would merely be considered in bad taste.

Ha! I wash
all my clothes before I wear them (my mom was a seamstress -- the stories I could tell...). Imagine my surprise at the empty washer when this material becomes popular!
And umbrellas for your enemies! Oh, the possibilities.
