It’s working up to a big blow. I would be a bit nervous if I lived in the area.

Will krakatoa do it again ? I sure hope not, it will undoabout 27 years worth of "cap and trade" in about 1 hour

According to Al Gore, the automobile is far more dangerous to the climate.

It became hollow and collapsed on it’s self, all the water inside the cone was thrusted through the vents into the ocean which then created a huge Tsunami.

The pyroclastic cloud alone would kill millions and millions of acres of farm land, the blocking of the sun would diminish crop yields for a couple of years. The eruption and tsunami would easily kill over a million people. As this ash is like glass any mechanical device caught in the cloud would be ruined.

LOL! Those photos are incredible and also terrifying. When it blew last time it was a nightmare. Has it flared up like this since it blew back in 1880s(??). Not sur ethe exact date.

Shh, don’t say that too loudly. Don’t let Al Gore hear you mention the fact that nature accounts for something like 98% of the CO2 emissions... Al and his man-made GW zealots don’t want anyone to consider the real numbers.

If it's spewing lava like that, it's not the kind of lava that will result in a big blow like Mt. St. Helens did. That kind of lava is thicker, and resulted in a big plug, under which pressure from magama built until it exploded. The kind of eruption in the photos looks like the kind that the volcanoes in Hawaii have, with thinner lava that flows easily and doesn't result in massive explosions. Also, the eruption of Krakatao in 1883 was preceded by a series of earthquakes, just like St. Helens was, and an incident described by a lighthouse keeper where the ocean went totally, glassy calm for a few seconds. If these things aren't present, and I didn't see them in the Telegraph article, then I wouldn't worry as much as if it went for awhile, then was silent.

One of the people in the article mentioned that it had grown to 300 meters. He said when it grows double that size or 600 meters it will be close to the size of the 1883 explosion and then he will be worried.

It is west of the island of Java. Java isn't all that big and there are miles and miles of ocean around it. Does Java have millions and millions of acres of farm land? I do not at all doubt that Java would be devastated. I would think more than a million people could easily be killed, either directly or through disease and famine resulting from such a blast. Java is one of the most heavily populated islands on earth. To the north of Anak Krakatoa is Sumatra, again very heavily populated, not much land. To the south and west of Anak Krakatoa is water, a lot of water.
I also don't think there is much humans can do about this.

Don’t worry, any climatic changes that are caused by it blowing will not be its fault. It will all be blamed on global warming causing the earth to heat up so much that it forced Krakatoa to blow its top.
And of course George W. Bush will ultimately be held as the culprit.

"Its working up to a big blow. I would be a bit nervous if I lived in the area." If it's of any size, it could cause worldwide crop yield reductions and lead to a serious famine.
