It occurs to me, as the MSM is cooing and fawning over the Beer Summit, that it wouldn't take many freepers buying a bottle or a sixpack to clear a few shelves in convenience stores and send the sales up.
For those of us who imbibe, maybe switch brands for a few days? And stay away from that Red Stripe stuff--the beer of Harvard snobs and racial profilers.
Sergeant Crowley should have asked for Coors Light....then he would not have to worry about getting tipsy!
Blue Moon is good beer, they make a number of seasonal variations also. Like Harvest Moon available in the fall. I enjoyed more than my share of Blue Moon beer last year during baseball season. Only a few places in Tropicana Field serve it but it goes down nicely when the Rays were kicking someone’s butt!!!
My wife and I once vacationed in Jamaica. Red Stripe was OK the first day at the all-inclusive resort. The next four days I got really tired of it. Add to it that only my wife in her bikini could get served at the bar. Those Jamaican bartenders had the darndest ability to see right through any male who walked up to the bar - like you were a ghost!
Didn’t we have a list somewhere of what Miller Brewing brewed a while back? I’ll have to find it.
I posted similarly earlier and think it is a great idea. It would speak volumes.
Mmmmm Blue Moon beer goes great with a fish taco from the Tin Fish. Making me hungry. And thirsty.
Blue Moon reminds me of a week I spent in Brussels one night.
Friend of mine works for the Coors brewery and gets a case of Blue Moon once in awhile. (overruns, mis-fills, printing/labeling errors lead to free beer for the employees!)
The best it gets.
I've got both in my fridge right now.
When I'm the DFW area I always call for Buffalo Butt, brewed by Rahr & Son in Fort Worth. They make about six other brands plus a line of seasonal brews. All are excellent.
