Sorry for the vanity but...
This morning (7/25) while watching America’s News HQ on Fox News, 2 guests were interviewed by Kelly Wright & Jamie Colby about the Gates/Crowley confrontation. One of the guests, a female prosecutor, clearly said,
“…he (meaning Gates) showed him (Crowley) his butt...”
At that point, Kelly Wright cut the woman off abruptly saying, “Now, we’re not going there.” The woman looked clearly perplexed & appeared to attempt a response. Wright , scowling, simply spoke over her until the camera moved to his other guest. I don't think the woman was heard from again during the segment.
Question: Did Gates used some obscene gesture (aka “mooning”) or perhaps pointed to that part of his anatomy, suggesting the officer kiss it? And is that why Crowley's Union lawyer said that the tapes might pick up Gates' tone and volume, "But it will not be the whole picture." Kelly Wright’s somewhat hostile reaction to this guest left us stunned. It would have been far better had he let her finish the sentence so I didn't have to waste an entire Saturday trying the figger out what she was going to say before he cut her off.
I have looked all over hell n' gone for any reference to this exchange & found nothing. I never even got the names of the guests.
So, just hoping someone out there has this exchange recorded. Thanks.
It’s funny. I caught this too - including Kelly Wright’s odd response. I thought maybe I had missed something - seems I didn’t.

When I read this really fast the first time, I thought they were trying to get Jamie Colby to show her butt. Or, maybe that was just wishful thinking on my part! :)
That IS odd. Considering they send an army to Alaska to interview Sarah Palin’s acquaintances 10 minutes after she was nominated. Cambridge is so much closer. And has nicer restaurants.

I saw it and changed the channel when the segment was over. I heard her at one point muttering “ridiculous” in the background. He DID show his butt. I have shown my before too, so I can say this,lol. Kelly showed his too.
Jarret had an opposite interview this afternoon, another black Harvard guy who said there were strained “elite” - Harvard/regular people relations,and when it was also black on white it was very strained.

In my part of town, it means “Hi big fella!” Something about this doesn’t seem right to me. Gates is either extremely NOT used to be questioned by anyone, was hiding something illegal or immoral, or just is a big old drama queen...
From all accounts I heard and read, Prof. Gates most certainly was ‘showing his butt’! He was acting in an outrageous manner.

How is it that the media has FAILED to interview a single person WHO WITNESSED this arrest? I haven’t even seen the neighbor interviewed.
