Though it may look crude on its surface, the fact is that the Archie robot is the result of a lot of hard work by researchers at the Vienna University of Technology in concert with the University of Manitoba.
Created as a humanoid robot, Archie was designed to assist humans with routine tasks such as cleaning, playing games and cooking. Although the creators hope to one day offer the Archie robot to the public, they will probably want to wait until a more advanced, aesthetically pleasing version is completed, especially since the price tag is a whopping 15,000 Euros ($21,082).

Beats me, but the thing’s appearance is unsettling all the same.

Playing games is such a chore. I need a robot to help me get this drudgery over with.
