It seems like Senator Borah is trying to keep us out of World War I. Senator Johnson of California has a valid point, it seems to me. If Roosevelts intent is to aid Britain and France and thwart Germany, then he can not logically term his plan neutrality. Senator Vandenberg sounds like your basic senatorial wind bag.

"FOR MEN ONLY! A STAG VACATION paradise where men do as they please. All sports activities. No women allowed! At night adjacent Berkshire Country Club invites you for dancing and entertainment. $25 weekly." etc.
That would be a little peculiar today.
I was wondering about that too. No women allowed yet there will be dancing? HMMMM!
I think the dance partners will be provided by the Berkshire Country Club. Wives of members? Daughters? Hired talent? HMMMM!
Camp Berkshire, in Wingdale New York, is now a Seventh Day Adventist conference center. No more dancing at the country club.

German troops in Bohemia - Jul 15, 1939
Extensive German troop movements have been noted during the last few days on the frontier between Poland and the Czech Protectorate. A fortified line of entrenchments has been completed by the Germans opposite Bogumin.
Two hundred lorries carrying German troops and 20 aircraft guns arrived yesterday at Hulczyn, which lies almost directly on the frontier.

Lol. That’s very interesting. I’d say lets see if we can get one of these events put together, but Mrs. Cougar would thump me.
An activity from a different time, like when gay meant happy.
