Ex-Fort Worth teacher arrested on suspicion of having sex with teen

FORT WORTH — A former North Side High School teacher who recently resigned after being caught with a 16-year-old student in a park was arrested Friday night, accused of having sex with the boy.

Emily Elizabeth Housley, who turns 29 today, was arrested at her mother’s Saginaw home shortly before 8:30 p.m., police said.

Housley, who is married and has two children, was being booked into jail Friday night, police said. She faces a charge of sexual assault of a child.

I maintain that it is the sense of love, intimacy, attention, and belonging that these women long for, rather than being purely motivated by the wiener.

Okay, I can see this, especially if they are in a lonely marriage or such, but as I just wrote, why not hang out at the college library, sporting events, etc., if you're not on the faculty, find a young man of legal age to play with, rather than tempt fate and break the law this way??

All I'm saying is that there is a higher standard for GUILTY/NOT GUILTY than there is for "I'd Hit It". And I think those philosophies are getting blurred.

Once the Supreme Court under Sodomayer refers to foreign age of consent laws in, say, Upper Volta, then these pesky sex with minors laws will be overturned, and old news.

Women seem to guilty way more than men are of these types of crimes these days, yet is the men who are terribly scrutinized and watched with the suspicious eye.

A recent baby-sitter/boy she was minding situation as well -- maybe men in these positions, male teachers and the like, are being more careful because they are scrutinized so closely? Not to say men aren't guilty of it as well, but there does seem to be more women caught these days then men.

I think its the sex and for some, the danger. Most of these women are late 20's, early 30's. Its their horndog time. The guys are just raging with hormones, and flirting with teachers like crazy. Finally one gets through and she drops her guard...

Another thing I learned in my teens is that girls who were older (not as much older as here) LOVED to be "sex teacher" to a younger guy. Once I learned that I managed to lose my virginity at least 5 times.

Not bad for an algebra teacher.

A lot of these articles seem to give details about all the different places, rooms in the house, etc. where the female teacher and male student had sex. For teachers considering whether to enter into this type of illicit relationship, this type of reporting would seem to present a mixed message.

Maybe this is one reason for the seeming increase in this type of student-teacher relationship.

Could be a reason why we are short male teachers. We need more men in the profession as role models, yet I would be scared to death to enter the field. All the 6th grader has to do after getting a bad grade is say “Mommy Mr. Smith touched me there!” and his career is surely over and maybe sent to prison, truth be damned. Young girls are taught at a young age that “men are bad”. These kids are smart and know how to play the system. ...ok//rant over

Another theory: it makes them feel like they are "hot" again. take this woman; married, 2 kids. she and husband still have a sex life, but childbirth has taken some toll, and the sex has gotten a bit routine. Just dressing/undressing in front of him doesn't get a reaction anymore. but one day Johnny stays after class to ask a question. He comes up to her desk and inadvertantly gets a nice view down her blouse. As she is sitting and he is standing, his obvious and immediate reaction is literally right there in her face. He, embarrassed, scoots out the door. She is embarrassed too, but still, its nice to get a reaction like that again. thingss proceed from there.

In other words, there doesnt have to be predatory intent, or even intent, for things to get started. All that has to happen is to couple an opportunity with a lack of self discipline.
