FORT WORTH — A former North Side High School teacher who recently resigned after being caught with a 16-year-old student in a park was arrested Friday night, accused of having sex with the boy.
Emily Elizabeth Housley, who turns 29 today, was arrested at her mother’s Saginaw home shortly before 8:30 p.m., police said.
Housley, who is married and has two children, was being booked into jail Friday night, police said. She faces a charge of sexual assault of a child.

Does anyone know if this is a “good” school? ( Just wondering.) It does seem that nearly all of these school outrage stories involve schools that would be considered “good” schools.
Yet....There will likely be government school defenders soon on the thread insisting that their government school is **wonderful**. Their child's school has a “Holiday” tree, and sing a Christmas carol or two at their annual “ winter holiday” celebration. Their child graduated as valedictorian and was offered hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships...etc.
Honestly....There are schools with environments so morally toxic that it would be better for the child to receive no formal education whatsoever than ever to step foot in it. It seems this teacher was trying to make her school one of them.
Oh....And, just in case, a government school defender mistakenly thinks that I am using examples from **their** life, my examples come from **my** local government school and **my** son-in-law. So...Please don't hit the abuse button. I am not **personally** insulting any particular poster's child.

I’ve seen mucccchh worse.. Withholding verdict, but actually leaning not guilty.
Here is the original NOT GUILTY:
If I look at it from hub’s position, his take ... what’s the real physical difference between an 18-year-old and a 16-year-old, generally speaking?? Not enough, I’d have to think, to make such a bone-headed decision. That’s why I’m more inclined to believe there is some factor other than the pleasure of initiation going on in these situations.
If the teacher in the article had time to get professional cloths & makeup, she’d look pretty good, too, i’ll beet. Maybe not Deb Lafave bikini model hot, but a lot better than mugshot quality.
Look, as long as they used a condom given out by the school nurse, and followed safe-sex procedures taught in gym class, then it’s alright by me.
