OK FReeperettes, I need some help.
Its finally happened, just as I knew it would my face is starting to show my age. Quickly.
I knew it would happen just like this. Every woman ages the same in my mothers family and apparently, Im no exception. They get seriously carded, their husbands get flack for being with a teenager, nobody believes their teenagers belong to the - until about 40.
Then BOOM! Their faces crater. They go from easily passing for 21 to looking 45 within a few months and it all happens around 40. Doesnt matter if they smoke or moisturize or how much sun they get. The timing is never off.
Im almost 40 and for the last month Ive noticed the dark circles under my eyes getting darker, my skin starting to slack, and my pores starting to enlarge. I dont have many fine lines; however, if genetics hold true, the wrinkle brigade will be in full force by next summer.
But I will NOT go gracefully into that good night! Its too early for a facelift (plus Im a big chicken), so Im looking for a good face cream. I already moisturize, so Ive got that going for me, but I need something to fight the dark circles under my eyes and something that firms and tones the skin and reduces pores.
There are literally thousands of products out there. Id like to find out whats worked for you. Point me in the right direction my conservative sisters! Tell me where to put my money!
(One thing. I cant use Retin A. I have some permanent burn scars from using that crap for only two weeks a decade ago.)
Oh, yeah, like that’s an encouragement!! Talk about “in the genes”! Having loads of money for upkeep doesn’t hurt either!
I recommend OIl of Olay original —and when I see others at similar age I think OLay has worked well for me.
Become Mooselimb and start wearing a Bhurka.
Wonderful! Do you use the Perricone before or after the Clarins?
(And what’s a Sephora store?) :-)
As for clearing sinuses, assuming you don’t have an infection etc, there’s a device they sell that hooks into a water pik machine. You might already know of it. Takes some getting use to.

Thank you!
wow
just sayin
Oh my gosh, that looks like hell! lol!
Do you use it?
I find not wearing my glasses around mirrors allows me to not recognize that I’m not 20 anymore. The next step will be to just get rid of the mirrors. :)
dark circles?
Louis arrived home from work one day sporting two black eyes.
What on earth happened to you? asked his wife.
Well, while I was on the bus this morning going to work this fat lady got up to get off, Louis explained. As she passed by, I noticed that her skirt was caught up in the crack of her butt. Hoping to save her some embarrassment, I reached over and pulled it out and she turned around and hit me in the eye.
And how do you explain the other eye? his wife inquired.
Well, I figured I must have done something wrong, Louis said, so as she turned to walk away, I reached over and tucked it back in!
Whatever you do *DON’T* GET A MAGNIFYING MIRROR!!!
That is what I did with my scales when I gained weight!
Preparation H gel. Not too heavy or it will peel off. Works great on under-eye puffiness.
I’m 53 and taken...it was only nice
Never use soap on your face. Use a face cleaner.
No offense to you or anyone who uses anti wrinkle creams but I finally became comfortable with growing old.
did you see a few years ago where Gene Spira Sperry who invented preparation H died ?
seems there was family problems about his burial
some wanted him buried, other creamated
he wanted to be shrunk
Olay is one of the things I tried and it made my face and eyes puffy...
The only thing I have found that doesn’t make my eyes especially puffy, is Lancome Renergie for eyes and Arbone NutriMinC RE9 system.... that really works for me.... on the whole face....
