A "Rino" is a Republican in Congress who votes for wasteful spending and big deficits now.
A Republican in Congress who voted for wasteful spending and big deficits when Republicans controlled Congress and the White House is ... what? Almost all of them?
There aren't as many "Rinos" in government to kick around now, because so many lost their seats in the last two elections.
But if Republicans make a comeback and win Congress again, it will mean more "Rinos" and not fewer.
People will complain about it of course, but a political leader who's worth anything at all will figure out how to cope with the situation.

"I will go around the country on behalf of candidates who believe in the right things, regardless of their party label or affiliation." Sarah Palin, I like Sarah too, but the problem with this logic is that control of congress remains in the hands of Pelosi & Reed if we don't get democRATS out of office.
So supporting so-called conservative democRATS is not the way to win the game.

What, no hard hitting, breaking news you could post about Meghan's current weight or police blotter, DUI, reports involving low-level, heretofore, unknown McCain staffers?
Actually, I''m relatively happy that this thread is merely vapid and repetitious instead of your usual malicious and obsessive fare.
Now, be sure to ping all the "usual suspects" to come to your rescue.

Thanks to everyone. 19% is pretty good. Let's get this Freepathon overwith.
The following is directed to Freepers who haven't donated or signed up for monthlies yet...
is good. 100% is better. You know you're going to do it. Pull the trigger! You don't have to pay it all now. $5 now, $25 next week, $10 later... keep the ball rolling.
Monthly donorship is a good way for us to avoid having to do the Freepathons. Besides, it's a great way to pony up in style.
If you're on the verge of becoming a monthly donor or you think you would like to up your monthly donation a bit, has Jim got a deal for you.
Check this out. There's an added incentive for a limited time only. (Always wanted to type that...)
Thanks to Freepers who have been frequenting the Freepathon thread to ham it up with folks over there. It helps to raise the visibility of the Freepathon.
Jump into the Monthly Donorship special thread too.
The Spirit Of Allegiance says, So do I.

I can’t get my parents (age 87) to understand that to be Republican is to be Conservative, Pro-Life, Pro-Bill of Rights, Pro-Constitution.
They think the Republican’s lost because they didn’t appeal to the people who voted Democrat.
They’re old but they vote.

“No party owns me or my vote. It is about principle and voting for candidates who, based upon record and not campaign rhetoric, will work staunchly for the conservative principles I believe in. I would much rather be represented by a legitimately conservative minority party than by a RINO majority who moves us toward socialism only slightly more slowly than Obama.”
Perfectly stated.

BTW, I’m now officially registered as “Unaffiliated” in Oregon.
O/T but the weirdest thing just happened.
I wasn’t able to reply to your post.
When I hit the reply button, it took me to the top of the page.
I had to reply to #1 to be able to post to you.
As I said...weird.

“I swear I am going to b*tchslap the next person who implores me to vote for a RINO. “
Implore? You mean shame, scare or humiliate you into it? That’s the tactic, face it. We see it every day on FR.
And some here say the GOP should ‘reach out’....when they try reaching out to conservative PATRIOTIC AMERICANS instead of their special interest anti-american special interest groups they might actually get somewhere, but it really doesn’t fit their sell out globalist agenda. And anyone who doesn’t admit is one of ‘em.
Know why 3rd parties have ‘no chance’?
Because the GOP and the DNC and their media won’t allow it. THEY, NOT US run the elections and this country. And they’ve run it in the ground. Representative Republic? Hardly. The GOP like the DNC has absolutely no interest in representing the average joe. We’re on our own. And there is still more of us than them, if the sheep had any idea what was really going on. But these parties thrive on ignorance and identity politics. That’s how freedom is always lost. Always.
