FOUNTAIN A man clubbed a cat to death on Thursday to save his two dogs from injury.
According to an incident report from the Bay County Sheriffs Office, a 53-year-old man residing on Sherry Lane reported an animal attack about 11:23 p.m. Thursday.
The man said he was cooking dinner about 10 p.m. when he heard his two dogs fighting in the front yard. He went to check on them and found them fighting with a cat he had not seen before. He tried to pull the dogs away from the car, but the cat kept attacking.
The man received several minor cuts on the fingers of both hands from the cat, the report said. He said he was forced to take a hickory stick and club the cat to death to stop the attack, the report said.
EMS treated the mans cuts, and Bay County Animal Control took over the case.
No charges have been filed.

What IS this? ‘Club An Animal To Death’ Week? First the fawn, now THIS, LOL!
Funny, that was my excuse, too.
/ONLY kidding, people!
Are the guy’s twin toy poodles okay?
You know, sometimes even a Viking Kitty just can’t hold his temper.
Give me a break!
ONE cat is going ot KILL TWO DOGS?
LOL!
The dogs would have killed the cat.
He’s a sadist.
And his two pit-bulls should be deeply embarrassed.
I heard something about a possum clubbing by a counselor at a kid’s summer camp, too.
Either this guy is lying or he has two of the most sissified little bitch dogs I’ve ever heard of. My dog woulda killed that cat. And he’s not a big mean dog. He’s a dog, thats what dogs do.
One chomp. One shake. Kitty’s dead.
LOL... word better not get out around to the neighborhood dogs that these two little pansies got a lickin from a cat.
Then I guess that seals it. Everyone? Get your club-o-choice and meet me down at the barn. We wouldn’t want to miss out on the festivities now, would we? LOL!
This could eventually be bigger than Festivus! :)
What fawn? Must have missed that one.
Cat scratch Fever....
ROFL!!!!
I’ve got a wuss dog when it comes to kittens........she learned the hard way. She once made the (first) mistake of grabbing a kitten and then (second mistake) when she obeyed hubby’s command to drop it the kitten literally spun in the air and attacked the dog’s face.
Now she’s only “tough” with kittens when she is inside and can act so tough behind the protection of glass or screen.
And this dog is no porch rat of a chihuahua or teacup poodle, she’s half lab and half chow.
This guy and his dogs are all sissies. Admittedly, my old momma cat did latch onto my lab when he was messing with her babies, and it was pure comedy to see a panicked dog running around with a cat stuck to his head, but he learned a valuable lesson.
I wonder if the cat was rabid?
