Michael Jackson's Dermatologist: 'I Am Not the Father'
People ^ | Wednesday July 08, 2009 | Charlotte Triggs

He is alleged to be the real father of Michael Jackson's children. Another claim says he is being investigated for prescribing the singer dangerous narcotic pain medications and anesthesia. Now, Jackson's longtime dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Klein, speaks out to address the rumors.

Klein, a Professor of Dermatology and Medicine at UCLA medical school, and a favorite of stars such as Elizabeth Taylor, flatly denies any involvement in over-prescribing drugs to Jackson.

"I didn't give him this crap they are talking about," Klein states in a new interview with Good Morning America. "I've never prescribed Oxycontin in my life. How am I going to prescribe Diprivan [a.k.a. Propofol, which is used for anesthesia] when I don't understand how to use it?"

He also denied being one of five doctors reportedly under investigation in the state of California for writing prescriptions for Jackson's medications. "I am not even under any examination by the police as one of those individuals," he said. "I have not been examined by anyone. I have not been contacted by the police in Los Angeles."

Klein also says that Jackson did not appear to be in severe pain – or to be battling addiction – during their last meeting, which was the Monday before Jackson's death. "He danced in my office. He danced for my patients. He was very muscular and he was very, very happy and dancing," Klein says. "I saw nothing at that point in time that would make me worry whatsoever."

When asked if a rumor that he was the real father of Jackson's three children, Prince Michael, 12, Paris Katherine, 11, and Prince Michael II (Blanket), 7, was true, Klein offered a denial – sort of.

"All I can tell you is, to the best of my knowledge, I am not the father of these children," Klein said. "I can't answer it any other way. I don't want to feed any of this insanity going around."

I’d bet Michael kept getting the plactic surgery becuse he LIKED the rest he got when he was under.

Last year, I had some surgery that required general anesthesia, the first surgery in my life requiring it. For several weeks after the surgery, I found myself having a fleeting moment every now and again during which I craved going back under the anesthesia.

The cravings weren't strong and the duration was very brief, but I recognized them as cravings nonetheless.

Well, at least we can be sure Sarah Palin won't get blamed for it. But of course, logic has never been the Dem's strong suit. See:

In other words, "I gave him a bottle full of my sperm, but I never saw what he did with it."

In the context of MJ ...............

I cannot fill in the rest no matter how much I try to clean it up.

Can we start a new section of the FR dedicated to Michael Jackson that we can deselect when he search for new articles? Sure would be nice.

The doctor should have refused to answer the paternity question.

For what it’s worth, my father is black, mother Chinese and I don’t look black at all, neither does my brother. My step mother is white, and my sister doesn’t look black or mixed either. Our father is clearly a black man with brown skin, about the same color as Condi

Isn't it amazing what people will do for money?

Those two you pictured definitely resemble the Klein.

"All I can tell you is, to the best of my knowledge, I am not the father of these children," Klein said.

To the best of his knowledge? Does this mean that he's sometimes in a position where he could have had, um, generative material extracted from him without his knowledge or that, at least, he's a sperm bank donor but doesn't know whether or not or for whom his contributions were withdrawn?

I heard that the nurse got paid I believe somewhere between 8 to 10 million flat out and then an additional $900,000 for years after that. In 2002 she came out and said in an interview they weren't Jackson's bio kids, then after Jackson paid her hush money and bought her a new house she was singing a different tune. As if we needed her to tell us those lilly white kids weren't Jacksons.

He'll probably avoid it.

The family isn't asking for it - they already know.

The family doesn't care if the public ever confirms who the father is. It's really their business. As for the third little one - we may never know what who the biological parents are.

Possibly because it is summer, and the kids have been out in the sun? I have seen pictures of the kids that range from them looking to have light hair to very dark hair. I think a lot depends on the lighting. I don’t think that MJ has ever claimed that he was the biological father. I also don’t think that anyone has claimed that the children are biracial. Maybe we are reading too much into this.

“Ideally this kids should be removed from the Jackson household. “

Where do you think these children should go? With a stranger? The Jacksons are the only family that they know. Taking these kids away from the only family they know, right after they have suffered the death of their father, that they loved, would be very traumatic. I really can’t think of a worse decision.

You seem awfully concerned about the skin color of everyone involved here. Why do you put everyone’s race in caps?

True, someone could have a mixture of ethnic/racial heritage but not appear so. I, too, have known people who were black on one parent’s side of the family, yet they appeared white. With one man in particular, no one would ever know. When he tells people, they’re surprised. When two of my own children were small, people would assume I wasn’t their mother. They’d assume I was babysitting or that the kids were with someone else.

But, there are so many other factors in the MJ story that people are questioning it. I find myself questioning the story, too.
