Hiya FR Gun Club members,

The email:

Hey, we just thought we would share with everybody some photos of the new MSAR STG-E4. We received our shipment of rifles today. We demo'd the very first production gun to leave the factory to 11 L.E. Departments, and the gun worked flawlessly all day.
For those of you who had pre-oders, right now we have Black 16" rail guns we will be shipping next week. Other colors and configurations will follow later.
Thanks, Al Rat Worx, Inc. 815-734-7346 www.ratworxusa.com

Wonder what it costs to bring something like this to market.
The first thing I would do is upgrade that wood magazine!
Without benchmarking, how can you compare?
I’d like to see a writeup on them both, head-to-head.
Aesthetically, it’s a nice looking rifle tho’ and I certainly wouldn’t turn it down if my my wife put it under the X-Mas tree.
5.56, 6.5 Grendel, or 6.8 SPC?
Of course, if it was available in .458....
Well that’s different....
Nice. Great conversation piece.
WTF is with the rail mania. Open sights or a scope were good enough for grandpa, daddy, and me. WTF is up with all the rail crap? It's a hunk of metal for throwing smaller hunks of metal downrange. It is NOT a Swiss Army device.
Rant off.

>Ouch.
Yeah.
Now that is one picture that is worth a thousand words!
I know, open/iron sights are a must have to me. I don’t like bullpups either.
I’ve never really been into bullpups but this one is interesting. Is this the version that’s AR-15 mag compatible?
Quick sidenote...Anyone ever see that old Bushmaster bullpup?...The M17 I think it was called. Now there was one fugly gun! I have nothing against Bushmaster’s quality, they build fine weapons. It just made my eyes bleed.
Bullpups really have only two viable tactical reasons. Very close quarters (vehicle or house to house combat) and when you want to extend barrel length to improve ballistic performance from a “same size” package.
My favorite bullpup config - M1A in a bullpup (http://www.defensereview.com/srss-bulldog-762-bullpup-m14m1a-battle-rifle-762mm-range-session/)

I've had the opportunity to both shoot one and then tear it apart to see how it is built. The Ruger 556 will be my next firearms purchase.
The barrel looks like it’s threaded to take a very long suppressor.
my thoughts as well. Still, I do like the cappuccino attachment.
If they share the same plastic crappy trigger group, I'll pass, but that's just me. If I wanted something like that, I'd go for one of those FN space guns, the FS2000. At least it takes M16 mags and it retains the first seven extracted cases inside until the eject forward and down. Makes things neater. It also has an AUG-Like internal optical sight. Actually, if I had my druthers, I'd take the H&K 416. Maybe in 6.8mm as long as I could have 10K in rounds to go along with the gift.
Dude! SoapGirl was eyeballing this rifle at our local shop the other week! She LIKED it. :-) My buddy on the other side of the counter said to WATCH OUT for the gas port on the tube just beside the front vertical grip. He said people who aren’t used to vertical grips have a tendency to wrap their hand around that gas port and get blistered first shot!
