There were no bids for an eBayer in Petersburg trying to sell a 1997 Nissan King Cab pickup formerly owned by Todd and Sarah Palin -- or at least that's what an old registration document found in the glove box says. The seller says the truck was purchased as salvage from an insurance company after a wreck. I just ran across this.
I report - - you decide.

(. . .and Petersburg is a l-o-o-n-g way from Anchorage. It's via air or sea - - no land link Petersburg is on an island.)

It’s always funny when you buy a used car and discover it was owned by someone famous.
A friend of mine bought a van and discovered it was previously registered to Michael Moore. Funny for me, at least...

I know a guy who bought a car that was owned by John Voight.

Wow. I just remembered that I owned a '97 Nissan (not a king cab, though). That truck would go anywhere.

Cool...
Now, someone ought to buy it, keep and preserve it — and then present it back to the Palin Presidential Museum, in the future... :-)

I’d believe that document more than I would believe the Photoshopped birth certificate of You-Know-Who.

We’ve had a very rainy time of it this year. Average rainfall for June is 4.3, but I think we’re over that already. Some of the places on that trail are literally ponds.
