The latest on eBay's 'Kenyan birth certificate'

Now it's an autographed photograph for sale

The eBay auction seller who has tried multiple times to sell an allegedly genuine copy of Barack Obama's 'birth certificate' from Mombasa, Kenya, now is offering for sale a photograph of several individuals who reportedly contributed to the strategy through which the still-unproven documented was obtained.

And the seller, identified as "colmado_naranja," who claims to have obtained the document while traveling Africa, suggested more information will be revealed on a YouTube video that is planned.

"My user name is InspectorSmith. I've had the account for some time. I have never uploaded anything. ... So this will be the first time that I've ever uploaded anything. So you'll get your document yet, up close and personal," the seller wrote on the latest eBay posting.

The seller explained previously that Kenyans had boasted Barack Obama II was born in the Coast Provincial Hospital in Mombasa at 7:24 p.m. on Aug. 4, 1961, which correlates to speculation that has existed over the president's birthplace since even prior to his election.

n each of the seller's first four attempts at auctioning the "evidence" of the claim, which would presumably render Obama ineligible to serve as president for violating the "natural born citizen" clause, colmado_naranja offered the purported Kenyan birth certificate that "proved" the story.

It’s historical, if they succeed in authenticating their story. I figured it would go for a few thousand, but it was getting up there so quick it might have gone for 10s of thousands. There weren’t yet very many bidders yet, maybe 12? Some of the bidders had e-bay history that indicated they were serious about trying to acquire a collectible document. It wasn’t shills from what I saw. One bidder had another bid going on a BMW, so I take that to mean a wealthy player.

Anyway, a document that plays a part in history can be quite valuable.

...people’s “BS meter” should have been “going off” right at the beginning... LOL...

They wait until they’ve just about been scammed as far as they can go before it starts “dawning” on them...

It's a sad commentary on the human race, but it's very true. Witness every population that was ever enslaved by an evil dictatorship. They all had years of warnings, which they studiously ignored, until it was too late.

We must not let that happen here.

My father was adopted. His BC has his adopted parents listed as his parents and states when & where he was born, who delivered him, and race and gender. He was born in California. In this case there was no other BC, sealed or otherwise, no listing of biological parents.

What I am trying to emphasize here is simple. If Obama had been adopted it wouldn’t alter the fact of his having been born in Hawaii. He has explained about his life in Indonesia with Lolo and his mother. So really, there is no reason we should not have seen his BC - if he HAD been born in Hawaii!

I DON’T BUY THE EXCUSE HE MAY BE ASHAMED OF SOMETHING: ONE DOESN’T GO TO THE BOTHER AND EXPENSE OF HIDING A BIRTH CERTIFICATE UNLESS IT DIRECTLY IMPACTS ON ONE’S ELIGIBILITY.

His Hawaiian school records for kindergarten are missing - someone was bribed to remove those records which contained a copy of his BC and other pertinent data such as real name and birthplace.

He is hiding the fact he wasn’t born in the United States.

” I don’t see any benefit at all of creating a phony address.”

Neither do I. What I am trying to make clear is the pathetic method used by factcheck to ‘validate’ the announcement, sent to two websites by anonymous posters - who maintain they received the ‘announcements’ from the library and forwarded the material to Texasdarlin and Atlas Shrugs BY E-MAIL!

No need to take my word for it, follow the links I provided, and go to factcheck where they NAME the Texasdarlin source. They call this ‘research’?

http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_usa.html

Scroll down and view the ‘birth announcement’ THEY ONLY SAW A SCANNED IMAGE OF! NO ONE HAS VALIDATED ANYTHING ORIGINAL!

“THEY ONLY SAW A SCANNED IMAGE OF! NO ONE HAS VALIDATED ANYTHING ORIGINAL!”

There probably isn’t anything original. Newspapers from the 1960s are almost always stored on microfilm or microfiche. It is like this with every newspaper everywhere. There isn’t any logical reason to keep actual newspaper copies. It is simple to get this information. It is probably available at any Hawaii library.

When this first came out, I was completely convinced that it was false. Texas Darlin seemed to be a whack job, and I figured it would be easy to prove her wrong. I actually talked to people at the Hawaii Bureau of Health, and the Honolulu Advertiser. I was told that in 1961 the birth announcements in the paper were received directly from the Hawaii Bureau of Health. Announcements submitted by other people were not accepted. The Bureau of Health told me that they compiled a list from the birth records received from the hospitals and submitted this list to both of the local papers, so that the birth announcements could be printed. They also told me that a birth record submitted by an individual other than a hospital or midwife, would be excluded from the listing until it was verified and it was determined that a birth certificate could be issued.

So, Texas Darlin turned out to be right. I still think she is a whack job, but credit where credit is due. You don’t have to believe any of this. You can check it out yourself. The numbers are available online, and the people are amazingly friendly and helpful. You can even talk to the Honolulu public library, and they will make you a copy of the actual microfilm page and send it to you. No need to speculate.

This is just to everyone. There was an old post here that BO was born on July 18th. Here is the post quoted and who it was to:

Quoted: To: x

You may very well be write.

However, it was from 2004 and perhaps a forgotten article and I believe someone took a screenshot of the article last Spring and it contained the birthdate of july 18th at the end of the article.

That is why the Obama line about recalling the time of his birth at 7:24 rings like a planted seed to rhymne with the time on a later manufactured COLB.

Unquote.

Now, does anyone know where we could find the screenshot of that? If so, it would be very, very interesting. Notice the date of this post is Nov. 18, 2008. I also had another one that someone replied to them and said it was in an African journal that his b-day was July 18th, 1961, not August 4th.

Also, think of this, say his birthday was really and truly July 18th, which gives his mother plenty of time to get to feeling better for travel in enough time to get home to Hawaii or instead, fly to WA first. Either way, she’s got the time where she could recuperate. Clearly she may not be worried about what date that she registers him on. Maybe she picks the later date of August 4 to make it easier to get him registered. From the way Hawaii sounds, though, it most likely wouldn’t matter anyway.

OK, so both an original birth certificate and an adopted birth certificate have the same information except the new parents replace any others of record.

I guess what you're driving at is that some people say "he's just trying to avoid talking about his adoption, so what's the big deal?", but your take is: that's what he wants people to think - in reality he doesn't want the adoption BC to see the light of day because it voids his eligibility, since it still shows, just as his original BC did (but presumably court sealed or legally destroyed), a birth situation that rules out being a natural-born citizen.

I’ve already seen the Malcolm X thing for a long time now. My question is this: What if the b-day that we know him to have, August 4th, 1961, is a lie and it’s actually July 18th, 1961? So if he was born in Kenya that would give his mama time to have him, rest up and fly to the U.S. Heck, it’s not far-fetched since he’s known for lying.

No. That was a disinformation story put out to cloud the waters after people realized his father was Frank Marshall Davis.

It's a pity you weren't able to point this out to factcheck, they could have obtained their own copy by e-mail instead of lifting the details from the texasdarlin website.

Considering there has been no hard evidence that Stanley Ann Dunham was in Hawaii after her graduation in the summer of 1960 until she showed up with an approx two or three year old child...how she could become pregnant to a man born in 1905, making him 55 years of age in 1960...makes that theory of paternity difficult for me to believe.

Well, if you’re talking about the July 18th birthday, I don’t buy it, period. I had another witness to this July 18 date, but I guess that I didn’t save it. It was on Free Republic too. Someone happened to say that they saw BO’s birthdate in an African journal of 7/18/1961 instead of the 8/4/61 date and this was way before he was elected as POTUS.

I know that his real father could be Malcolm X, Frank Davis and maybe BO, Sr. just said on his BC that he was the father. Whoever is on the BC is the one who they will go by with the birth certificate just like an adopted child. He will inherit his father’s citizenship too even if they are not actual blood.

So I don’t understand how anyone can think this 7/18/61 date is unimportant. Just like everything else about him, even his b-day that he’s told everyone may be false. It’s like, will the real person please take a stand!

And perhaps for those who in the past have been checking for his records are using a false birthday date. That would truly make things difficult to find.

Yep, you got it.

Why else would he have a Washington, D.C., law firm representing him at these lawsuits to prevent exposure of his BC? So far the tab is estimated to have cost Obama around $1Million. Getting a certified copy of the vault BC would be less than $36.00. This situation only makes sense if he wasn’t born in the U.S.A.
