LOL! No, dearie! I was talking about one that I ‘almlost’ posted on Amy’s awhile back. Not the one about the raccoon babies. (Although you would think I had learned my lesson with the one that had “R” rated content at the end.) LOL!

JC, I've been to the Albuquerque (NM) Hot Air Balloon Festival several times
and each time, it is more spectacular!
I only went on a Hot Air Balloon ride once.
While you are up in the air, you feel no movement.
You can hear a rabbit running through the grass, hundreds of feet below.
When we landed, the pilot poured each of us a glass of champagne
And, then said a prayer
Thanking God for this beautiful creation of Earth.
It is a rewarding, peaceful experience.

Then, here's another one you might enjoy:

Hey, it’s always good when you are here.
What do you mean by cool? Here it’s 80 and humid and I can’t take that anymore, it’s too much.
LOL! years ago I used to think of selling and moving south. Probably stopped that 7 or 8 years ago and began thinking north, north and dry.
Potato soup sounds wonderful. Too muggy right now, though. No soup for me.

That is so gorgeous! I love them too, just gliding along! I have never taken a ride. The event we used to attend did not offer rides. It was like the climax of the two week festival that Kingsport had each year. I do not know if they are still doing that or not but surely I would have heard by now.
Come to think of it I don’t remember seeing any balloons in a year or two and they would fly right over our city. I think their festival was the last two weeks of July so they would be into it as of now. I need to watch more local news I guess. Lunch will be ready in about 15 minutes.....

What I truly meant was I am lucky “I woke up this morning”...
I heard a preacher say that one time...Dr. Stanley on t.v.!
He was telling those who thought they had nothing to be thankful for....he said “Think about it, you can be thankful that God let you wake up this morning.” I have always remembered that!
It was raining earlier and we have a nice 70 right now. Usually July and August are our HOTTEST months but we have had a cool July and I’m not complaining. I heard the Mayor say the same thing. He said they had the coolest July in 66 years.
Thanks for the beautiful music, Luv!
Soup and cornbread is about ready!

It's always a blessing to wake up. This is one of my reasons
Today is the Best Day of My Life
|
|
|
|
Today, when I awoke, I suddenly realized that this is the best day of my life, ever!
There were times when I wondered if I would make it to today; but I did!
And because I did I'm going to celebrate!
Today, I'm going to celebrate what an unbelievable life I have had so far: the accomplishments, the many blessings, and, yes, even the hardships because they have served to make me stronger.
I will go through this day with my head held high, and a happy heart.
I will marvel at nature's seemingly simple gifts: the morning dew, the sun, the clouds, the trees, the flowers, the birds.
Today, none of these miraculous creations will escape my notice.
Today, I will share my excitement for life with other people. I'll make someone smile.
I'll go out of my way to perform an unexpected act of kindness for someone I don't even know.
Today, I'll give a sincere compliment to someone who seems down.
I'll tell a child how special he is, and I'll tell someone I love just how deeply I care for them and how much they mean to me.
Today is the day I quit worrying about what I don't have and start being grateful for all the wonderful things God has already given me.
I'll remember that to worry is just a waste of time because my faith in God and his Divine Plan ensures everything will be just fine.
And tonight, before I go to bed, I'll go outside and raise my eyes to the heavens.
I will stand in awe at the beauty of the stars and the moon, and I will praise nature for these magnificent treasures.
As the day ends and I lay my head down on my pillow, I will thank the Almighty for the best day of my life.
And I will sleep the sleep of a contented child, excited with expectation because I know tomorrow is going to be the best day of my life, ever!

Beautiful, L.J.!
We all have much to be thankful for! When I sit outside and watch God's creatures entertain me, I am amazed every day at the beauty of this world. Even when I look at my big trees with millions of leaves that will be on the ground in several months ( and its hard getting them up ) but I always remember how beautiful they were when they were little and turning green in the spring. All of it are miracles from God. And I am thankful!

That one has been confiscated for my files.

And pray tell, who did you confiscate it from??
