RAIN
I opened my eyes
And looked up at the rain,
And it dripped in my head
And flowed into my brain,
And all that I hear as I lie in my bed
Is the slishity-slosh of the rain in my head.
I step very softly,
I walk very slow,
I can't do a handstand—
I might overflow,
So pardon the wild crazy thing I just said—
I'm just not the same since there's rain in my head.
Shel Silverstein
Haha! That’s it! We have water on the brain! So that’s that funny sound!
Here is the Post by Freeper 'TheConservativeParty' about his Aunt Mickey:
***PRAYER REQUEST***
Hi all, I have an Aunt who has been ill since about Mother’s Day. She has been having what she believes is allergy related symptoms that have gone out of control. They are having more rain than normal in Colorado Springs where she lives, and there is more pollen etc in the air than other years. Her regular Doc has not been able to help her. She has now seen an ENT specialist who ordered and gave her a CAT scan, and just today, an MRI. My aunt is not one to complain and has been healthy as a horse most of her life. She has been a widow for nearly 7 years. My uncle died unexpectedly at the young age of 63. She has gotten through that loss, through her strong Christian faith. This illness she is suffering has her rattled, and she is not one who is rattled by much at all. I just phoned her a while ago and I promised to keep praying for her.
I ask you my Freeper Prayer Warriors, to join me in prayer, that my Aunt Mickey will be protected by Jesus and that The Lord will guide her doctors to the source of the problems she is having. She is so ill, she has been staying at the homes of her 2 sons and their families, since she is too ill to be alone at home. She gets horribly dizzy and feels off. The primary doc says it probably involves the inner ear.
The ENT specialist was just seen for the first time on Monday for the CAT scan, today was the MRI. She will not know the results of the MIR until she sees the ENT July 10th, a long time to wait if you ask me.
She is in her late 60’s and a go-getter. She still paints her own house, does all the yard and housework and helps with her 9 grandchildren. She was until not long ago, so strong and vital. Now I hear real fear in her voice. And if she is scared, that makes me know she needs all the help she can get. Add your prayers to mine please and send them to Jesus on her behalf. Thank you in advance for your kindness. Peace.
That is so cute!! I think I have rain in my head...when God gave out brains, I thought He said ‘rains’ and I asked for a lot!! My husband used to say that about his nose...his went ‘when God gave our noses, I thought he said ‘roses’ and I asked for a big red one...LOL!” Gotta make me a couple of hot dogs for lunch...just got back in! And I’m hungry!
May the Good Lord put HIS hand of Grace on her, and steady her with HIS peace and comfort, during these trying times. May it be HIS will to provide healing. May she have the peace that only comes through our Lord and Saviour...
Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Think on Jesus, our loving Saviour...
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Prayers up...ColoradoSprings is too beautiful of an area to be stuck inside!!
Afternoon guys and gals,
Just had mail from Lori who said Amy's router cord "fried", and she's out trying to find a new one. She will be back as soon as she can; I don't have an opening ready to post, so make it a fun or quiet day until th' boss gets here!
Oh my! I heard you made Blackwell’s Best Dressed List in that outfit!
Hiya!
Hi, Stephen! If I didn’t say so before, it’s great having you back!
ok........I’ll be quiet
...........and I’ll be fun!
I’m almost back. LOL
What a morning it was here. AT&T wanted to sell me a new router and ship it out next day delivery. I didn’t want to wait until tomorrow evening for an internet connection.
On the second phone call, I was told that it was not the router but the power cord.
I did get the new power cord after two phone calls and a couple of stops in Fresno. Times like this it is not good to live in the boondocks. :)
Not wanting to drive to North Fresno (REALLY north), I stopped at Office Depot. They do not carry them ... can you believe that? They told me to try WalMart.
WalMart does carry them so after fumbling around for awhile, I finally have Internet Connection again.
It will soon be time to leave for Marissa’s swim lesson. I cooked her bacon and eggs for lunch. She didn’t mind since she only had cereal for breakfast.
Things should be much calmer here next week. No swim lessons and no school. Marissa does have an afternoon dentist appt on Wednesday afternoon.
Hope everyone is having a fun Thursday.
Thank you for the prayer ping.
PS, I’m a “her” : )
Ya can’t tell from my FR handle though!
Thanks for the prayers for my aunt, who is also my best friend. TheConservativeParty
Thanks Dolly for the prayer ping. Next Doctor visit is July 10th, unless she goes to the ER again. My aunt is such a strong lady, hearing the fear in her voice yesterday really scared me. Auntie is my best friend even though we are separated by 1000 miles. I will see her in October when I drive out with her mother(my grama) who is 91 years young! Grama wants to see her 9 great grandchildren again. Thanks everyone for your prayers, TheConservativeParty
