Glenn Beck's Common Sense has hit the #1 spot on the USA Today Best-Selling list and will hit #1 on the July 5th New York Times Best Sellers list, making Beck one of just a few authors in history to hit #1 on the New York Times fiction, non-fiction and paperback original bestseller lists.
Beck's Common Sense is joined on the NYT paperback non-fiction bestseller list by An Inconvenient Book at #4, giving him two books in the top 5.
And Beck's not slowing down. His next book, the hardcover non-fiction Arguing With Idiots, will be published by Threshold Editions later this year.
Terrific! I just ordered both books from Amazon.com & I’ve become a real fan of Beck’s show on Fox. He rocks!
When I heard the NY times was “skeptical” of his success I ordered just to piss them off. The books are worthwhile too, but pissing off liberals is a BIG bonus.
PINGING THE COMRADES! WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!
He gets it; most Freepers get it; and many others get it. WHY does not Fox News "Get It?"
They are a NEWS Channel, not an "E" Channel!
Even Cavuto, one of the few shows I watch, succumbed to the feeding frenzy on Friday.
ENOUGH ALREADY, with the 24/7 coverage of the pedophile, pervert!
And yes, Glenn "ROCKS!"
I picked up the very last copy from my local Barnes and Nobles last week. Still haven’t cracked it open though. Maybe over the 4th.
Glad to see I wasn’t the only one seriously annoyed about that. I couldn’t believe they pre-empted Special Report.
Just downloaded my kindle version. Can’t wait to read it....
Beck is entertaining and seems like a decent guy but he says some dumb things. Several weeks ago he told a caller to his radio show that “something is going to happen this week that will inhibit my ability to reach you and your ability to reach me”. Thats all he said about it and last I listened he was still on the air.
Anyone read these?
I have not. I have been a fan of Beck since 2001, when I first heard his radio program.
I am happy for his success.
Interesting looking at NY Times Bestselling non-fiction lists. In hardcover there is Dick Morris, Mark Levin and Bill O’Reilly all in the top five. In Paperback Beck has two of the top five. So half of these lists are conservative political books.
The young people are *not* readers, and not surprisingly, the young people voted overwhelmingly for Obama. :’)
Maybe, but a year ago conservatives did not dominate the bestsellers list in this way. Folks didn’t get that much older on the average in a year.
The publishers kept up a steady stream of leftist tripe titles.
It’s been that way for years .. conservative writers’ books sell. Libs don’t. But conservatives are the illiterate yahoo’s .. go figure.
I really want to read all of his books- I listen to his show when I can, but we can’t get his TV show unfortunately. But I agree with him on just about all subjects, including religion, which we happen to have the same of.
You’ll definitely enjoy Common Sense. I just finished it. I also bought An Inconvenient Book - that’ll be next after Liberal Fascism by Jonah Goldberg. :-)
I’m going to get it ASAP- he mentioned it was six dollars as a hardcover- imagine how easy it will be to get as a paperback! But I’m going to see if my library has it next time I go, and any other Glenn Beck books.
Actually, it’s only in paperback. Glenn said he wanted to make it as cheap as possible so everyone could get it without worrying about the price. Do get it ASAP! :-)
