MARK SANFORD - AIR FORCE RESERVIST
N/A ^ | 27 JUNE 2009 | NAPSCOORDINATOR

Posted on 06/27/2009 11:34:11 PM PDT by napscoordinator

I have been reading the stories about Mark Sanford who had a error in judgement this past week. I understand that his wife is upset and many conservatives are disappointed. My question is what is the Air Force saying? He was an Air Force Reservist. I did not know that until today reading other posts. He could be court martialed for adultry which is against the UCMJ. Does anyone know if there is anything about this?

Jes' hang loose, blood. If it is possible to court martial him you can bet your bottom dollar the RATS will seek to do so.

Of course, we don’t hear very much about MAJ Jill Metzger, do we, despite the global and historical fallout of her incident?

God Bless the U. S. Military,

Having said that, from my experience with five years active duty in the Army and another fifteen in the Reserves and ANG, I can tell you we would not have a much of a military if such regulations were enforced. I would conservatively place the adultery rate at a 15-20% minimum.

Sorry to bust anyones bubble.

Mark Sanford who had a error in judgement this past week.

This past week, Sanford had an error in judgment when he told us he "cried for the last five days in Argentina." The week before that, Sanford left his gubernatorial position AWOL, was derelict of his duties as chief executive of South Carolina, and lied to his staff when he left the country. Months before that, he exposed himself to blackmail and extortion by writing smarmy emails to Evita. Months before that, Sanford used taxpayer funds to pay for a tryst with Evita.

The reserves can take their pick of infractions, and I haven't mentioned adultery.

What I recall from UCMJ is that infidelity only affects any character reviews but can not affect you in any legal way unless that infidelity also affected your performance (Directly) and (Adversely).

His error in judgement goes back quite a bit further than this past week.
But he won’t be disciplined by the Air Force for his personal foibles.
If the military court martialed everyone who committed adultery, we wouldn’t have much of an overseas force left.

I have yet to see anything mentioned as being a “real” reservist. Or are we simply tossing him into the pot because he’s the governor and head of the state national guard?

Oh I think he will. He only has another year.

Actually he went to basic training in 2002 and has been doing reservist weekends since then. I am not trying to stir the pot...he is doing that pretty much himself. Look I was a fan of his and an disappointed that is all plus I was interested in the Air Force Reserve part of his life.

It’s a violation under Article 134.

Anyone who goes to a Bilderberg meeting is not to be trusted.

Gov. Sanford went in 2008.

I find militarycorruption.com pretty good reading. People who blatantly get away with stuff like Maj. Metzger make me sick. I wonder if they have some actual angle on the Boorda “suicide” ala the accent of Tom Lantos ?

You can’t be AWOL from an elected position, only a military assignment. And the steamy letters were not a crime, but evidence of a crime.
