It is safe to assume that such men as Joe DiMaggio, Tom Henrich and Crosetti, who went hitless, have no particular liking for night baseball. Tomorrow being an off day, the players will have plenty of time to discuss the pros and cons.

The lighting system, erected at a cost of $105,000 is said to be the best in the majors. However, the vote from this corner still goes to Ebbets Field. There are shadows here at the rim of the field.

Has anyone noticed that the write ups then used complex sentences, good grammar and were easy to read? These days, the reporters write to sixth grade level readers, and the editing is so poor you think that they must only use spell check and print!
