I was buying 4 30 packs of beer for a camping trip when I heard he croaked. I may remember it, mayhaps not.

MICHAEL JACKSON.....”It’s like when Kennedy was assassinated”

Well, I was there, in Dallas, when President Kennedy was assassinated. And believe me, it was entirely different. And I also was glued to the TV set, as I heard that most of the nation was, too. And basically things “stopped” in the country for a few days, until after the funeral.

So, no..., it’s nothing like it at all...

This was NOT like when Kennedy was killed... I haven’t seen ONE GROWN-UP CRY! Lots of grown-up were crying when Kennedy was killed. It was the first time I ever saw my dad cry!

Michael Jackson DIED - he was NOT killed...

True, and that is rather strange.
However, in those days, it was a different situation. For one thing, he didn’t have sex with her until they were married.
Her step-father was in the military, and agreed for her to see him.
As a mother of a now adult daughter, would I have let her see a man so much older, hell no.
But from everything I’ve read, Elvis and Pricilla did not have sex until after they were married.

"Yes, I think he’s sneaking onto a plane to Argentina again as we type."

Signs the bum had no scruples to begin with:

1. He DID it.

2. He didn't tell anybody where he was going.

3. Why didn't he just quit his job and go? Did he REALLY think nobody would find out about this??

4. Only admits he's guilty when he gets caught.

Ditto. Royal Payne turned out to be better than I thought, too.

Vomit alert. This celebrity cultism is disturbing. The guy was a singer, some songs were good some songs sucked. Good luck to him meeting his maker.

"It's like when Kennedy was assassinated..."

...except that Kennedy was somebody important...and he was assassinated. . .otherwise, it's like just the same.

I remember my parents, who had gone through the Great Depression, World War II, the Korean War - they were numb with shock. Even though, being staunch Republicans, they were not JFK fans, they grieved with the entire country during those four days in November.

No, it is more like Elvis or Princess Di....but not quite as sad because his image is so tainted by those molestation charges in my opinion.

I will pass up the news tonight, even Fox. I don’t need to hear over and over that he is dead. When they come up with a cause of death, I’ll listen (once).

I don’t understand what makes journalist tick, this will go on for a week. Enough is enough, give us some new news.

Just wait until that poignant moment when Emmanuel Lewis salutes when the funeral procession passes by a la John John.

Wait till the velvet paintings & commerative coins come out.

I have mixed feelings:

He was a great talent.

OTOH, hundreds of young boys will be saved.
