The IMPOSSIBLE is happening.
SPAIN..the leading # 1 team in the world, 35 game winning streak, they have shut out opponents in the series...and the soccer world already conceded that SPAIN is SUPPOSED TO WIN..YET HERRE THEY ARE SHOCKING THE FN SOCCER WORLD.
Kiss my ass you America hating soccer fans...
My thoughts exactly.
Thanks for the 'Miracle on Ice' analogy. I wasn't sure how much hyperbole was wrapped up into "the world is eating crow right now!!" comment - as I don't keep up on soccer.
Good for team USA.
Obama is so taking credit for this.
For you narrow minded Soccer critiquers.......Get on the Soccer field (if U dare)with a foreign born player....and you will find its not a “Game” for them...Its country, its life or death, its War !
For the world game is NOT a game, its a passion.
Besides, its a party in the stadiums during the event.....lots of Fun for fans.
MLS games have cheap tickets, doesn’t cost an Arm and a Leg to go to a spoeting Event.
I intentionally left it open to interpretation. Had this been football season (the real kind) it would have been large...
Now if we go on and beat Brazil (they beat us 3-0 in the group stage), now THAT would really be something.
Besides, it’s fun to see a bunch of grown men playing a girl’s sport.
True, Spain does have a history of severe chokage in major tournaments.
Still I am pretty happy! Brasil will likely wipe us off the pitch, but ya never know.
The score now doesn’t matter. They’ll find enough stoppage time to allow Spain to tie.
???????
What games have you been watching? LOL!
Lol!
bump
The only thing I remember about soccer is that French guy who headbutted someone and got ejected in the Finals.
Anyway, it is a great sport with great fans—maybe one day I’ll get into it
Is this about metric kickball?
What is wrong with Bradly?
Why do you want some second rate german in?
It apparently contains absolutely no information about Megan Fox.
Spain should use this as their wake-up call for next year. But I still think Brazil will be the team to beat. They’ve won every WC not held on European soil, since way back. But the US also does well when the WC isn’t held in Europe, so who knows, could this be a preview? Hmmm.
It was a great match and a great win for the US. After halftime, Spain really increased the pressure and I expected them to score but they never did. I still can’t believe we got a red card with just a few minutes to go. It did not look that bad.
The US in the final for the first time! Now let’s beat Brazil and set the stage for winning it all next year in the World Cup!
It will be interesting to see how far the US moves up in the FIFA rankings. We are currently 14.
It makes it all the sweeter that we don’t care.
