In the world of Disney, falling in heterosexual love can break a spell, save Christmas, change laws, stop wars and even, in the case of The Little Mermaid, cause an individual to give up her personal identity. While such dramatic plot twists may keep kids glued to television and movie theater screens, they send a memorable message to impressionable young viewers that heterosexual love is not only the norm, but that it is also exceptional, powerful, transformative and magical, concludes a new analysis of top-grossing G-rated children's films.
The findings, published in a paper in the latest issue of Gender & Society, challenge the notion that such movies are without sexual content. The determinations could even help to explain why multiple prior ethnographic studies suggest children understand the normativity of heterosexuality by the time they enter elementary school, relegating homosexuality to the abnormal, unusual and unexpected, necessitating explanation.

Yes. Without Disney, children would never realize that love between a man and woman was normal.

Really, seems like some gay groups have gone from asking for tolerance (to be “left alone”) to demanding acceptance to, now, doing exactly what they criticized others for - determining for everyone what’s “normal” and what’s not.

Disney can look at how well the liberal TV networks and liberal newspapers, and liberal movies are doing. They’re all going down the road together - and I do mean DOWN...
Add the wonderful movie UP to this category. UP unambiguously celebrates love and marriage while also demonstrating the destructive effects of adults who don’t keep those promises. I’m going to get a Blu-ray machine so I can have this movie in hi def.

If only 3% of the population are involved ion a lifestyle. That lifestyle can be described as ABNORMAL.
I would contest that celibacy and asexuality are much more NORMAL than Homosexuality.

Of course love between a man and woman is normal.. it doesn’t take a genius to figure that one out. Without it there would be no children!

The ironic thing is that Disney employs alot of Gay people. Go against the Gay Mafia in Hollywood at your own peril. Just ask Mike Ovitz.
Heterosexuality being a “norm” would only be a revelation at Disney.
