London, England (BANG) - Amy Winehouse is a "tattooed reptile" who will bring "untold human suffering" to St. Lucia. The former governor of the Caribbean island has written a public appeal begging officials to stop the "Rehab" singer from buying a house and settling there permanently.
Jeff Fedee wrote in the St. Lucia Star newspaper: "I would strongly urge she be denied residency status to purchase property in St. Lucia. Is she being given special treatment?"
"She'd be a menace and a dangerous influence to our society because the demons that inhabit her tortured body will have to be fed. Are the authorities going to ignore the indulgences in illegal substances for which St. Lucians are arrested and incarcerated."
"I predict the relative peace and tranquility we enjoy will desert us and untold misery and disasters will visit us. Do not let that tattooed reptile become a resident of St. Lucia."
"We cannot put our future in jeopardy for the sake of selling a house to a character that will draw to St. Lucia untold human suffering."
Jeff is concerned that Amy - who has been staying on the island for almost all of this year and has stunned locals with her outrageous alcohol-fueled antics - will be a bad influence on younger residents, who she is often pictured playing with on the beach.
He added: "Those who sing the praises of Amy Winehouse are missing the point. She is not a good model for St. Lucian citizens, particularly the youth, despite the music."
"Which begs the question - what positive message is Amy Winehouse conveying to young people?"
Amy is hoping to buy a house where she can install a recording studio in order to work on her long-awaited third album away from the temptations of partying in London.
“Amy Winehouse is an amazing talent hidden in a the fetid folds of puerile putrid filth.”
You been hangin’ out with Petronski? LOL!
Wow I thought that was my husband posting under a different name!
I will gladly admit, I am a pop culture ignoramus.
LOL! Yeah. He was on a roll this morning, LOL!
The fact that she blames London for her condition isn’t exactly encouraging. Getting away from the environment might help but it ain’t no cure.
Very Apt! I would say a Dirty Used Klenex but........Sad, she was somewhat pretty before all the drugs and alchol....
I’ll take that as a compliment, thank you very much, and no questions asked.
;OD
I am afraid you will have to explain your comment to me. Freep mail me if neccessary. :)
Then maybe I should as well. ;)
Too late to not ask the question though.
Hopefully it was complementary to us both.
Often going where you don’t know anybody that can score you the really hard drugs is the only way someone can quit.
Either that or they find a new someone to score them the hard drugs.
I have no doubt that getting away from the environment will help but she needs intensive treatment and then she’ll need to learn to be around many of the same people again without using drugs.
Petronski was making similar comparisons to those he considers ‘smegma’ and the like on another thread this morning.
You sounded just like him in your phrasing, so we were just checking to see if he was posting under an alias later in the day. ;)
Now listen here, you!
She is a pitiful human being that needs earnest prayers desperately.
Aw, this dude’s beating up on your girl.
MellieMae - you are so very, very right! I find myself praying for some of these people. They’re so pathetic and need God so desperately.
This guy is a drama queen, but Amy Winehouse is a reptile. Boy, can she sing though. Like Shirley Bassey and Dusty Springfield.
The Caribbean government, for the most part, has their moral act together.
***Like Shirley Bassey and Dusty Springfield.***
Given Dusty Springfield’s inclinations, that makes for quite a picture.
