Venezuela troops were landing at an airport ...thugs of the world trying to support each other....no word on any from North Korea however...probably not big enough to stand up in a real fight!

This is not good. The bad guys are uniting and the West is not even sure who the enemy is.
To: cripplecreek
That is impossible, they are unarmed.
To: lewisglad
The Iranian government is playing with fire. If they are bringing in foreign troops that means they don't trust the army. I hope the army responds by rebelling and supporting the people much as the Soviet army largely did when the Soviet Union collapsed.

Hard to believe. But then you look at a picture of Chavez and realize anything is possible.
You average Iranian is very proud. If their own government is bringing in Hezbollah and a bunch of commie Christians to suppress them....it could get ugly.

This is how it’s going to go here. Travis McGee has a good take on that in his latest book.
Our military is ‘unreliable’ from the Obamunists’ point of view. Andthey’d be right. We’ll be facing troops from some of the worst totalitarian states when that Marxist meat puppet calls for help for his failing regime.

very, very doubtful... Sorry I just don’t see hugo sending the only people keeping him in power half way around the world when the Iranian government can shoot protesters just as easily..

From CBS-News, July 29, 2006:
Chavez Vows To 'Stand By Iran'
After Oil Talks In Tehran, Venezuelan Leader Called 'Brother' By Ahmedinejad

"Chavez pledged that his country would 'stay by Iran at any time and under any condition,' state television reported. Ahmadinejad said he saw in Chavez a kindred spirit." "'We do not have any limitation in cooperation,' Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying. 'Iran and Venezuela are next to each other and supporters of each other. Chavez is a source of a progressive and revolutionary current in South America and his stance in restricting imperialism is tangible.'":

Good. I’d have qualms about fighting fellow Americans on American soil. But foreigners? I wouldn’t experience the sligthest twitch of guilt.
