I was on the Motor Trend forum, and someone started a thread named "The far right ready to boycott GM"
He opened thread with "Tell me this would make them unamerican" and he links some loser webpage with no sources.
Several libs and even the admin, began disparaging the right, so finally I responded:
"No, it does not make "them" un-American.
The executive branch seizing companies is un-American. The executive branch ripping off investors is un-American. The executive branch installing political hacks to run the company is un-American. Supporting these draconian measures is un-American.
It's easy to throw this garbage around when you can hide behind fake Internet names."
The the admin comes in and says:
"Ok this thread is going way too deep into Free Republic territory"
the new guy at GM knows nothing about cars
Since when has the government taken over ANYTHING and made it better? You can bet that the quality improvements that GM has made since the 80’s will once again go to crap. I wouldn’t buy a new Government Motors car if you gave them away.
Now, that’s not fair. He rides in the back of limousines all the time.
The new guy in the White House knows nothing about freedom.
“Tell me this would make them unamerican...”
He has no clue to what “unamerican” is because if he did understand it properly, he would realize how UNAMERICAN it was to 1) bail your arses out, 2) to screw the bondholders in place of allowing the Union a better slice, and 3) to assert that those who are boycotting your products because of such are “unamaerican.”
*middle finger*
Motor Trend has been a pay for play review source for years.
Does anyone have the UAW letter to its membes where the UAW was BRAGGING about the fact they were able to flout contract law and bully, with obama’s help, the corporation.
Read that letter and GM becomes dead to you.

Seems the media blockade against Freerepublic.com is not so successful.
GM has long been dead to me and my family.
Chrysler has quickly fallen into that death.
there are posters on FR who have forgotten more about automobiles and the auto industry, than the combined “brain trust” for Motor Trend claims to know.
Motor Trend has never been a primary source for real world car info.
“Motor Trend has been a pay for play review source for years.”
Automotive magazines are like commedy, TV and much more, the golden era is long past. There are no Tom McCahills and Smokey Yunicks and they are just a car version of People.
