My oh my, what would the critics, the Civil War publications, publishers, and bloggers do if it weren't for the bad boys of the Confederacy and those who study them and also those who wish to honor their ancestors who fought for the Confederacy?

Trade in your keyboard for a life. I suspect the group of wacked state-ists that share this identity, Non-Sequitor, are either paid or sick. If Non-Sequitor is a indeed a single person then you have no life, pathetic. Your life is a "Lost Cause".
Not worried, because it ain't goin to happen. Can't happen.
But will make the point again -- I live in central PA. You know what "they" say about Pennsylvania? It has Philadelphia in the east, Pittsburgh in the west, and in between is "Alabama." Well, I don't know exactly what "they" mean by the word "Alabama," but would suppose an average central Pennsylvanian has more in common with most Alabamans than with Philadelphians or Pittsburghers.
Indeed, most rural & small towners of ANY state have more in common with rural folks in other states than they do with their own state's big city people.
And when we can get enough suburban & mid-sized city voters to come our way, then we have governing majority. And that's what it's all about...
So you can yammer mindlessly all you want about secession -- past, present or future -- it's not happening. But if you'll get off your dead *ss and go talk to your suburban neighbors about voting conservative again, then we could put a little sand on the skids and slow down the country's slide toward socialism -- and start it on a new track...
And yet here you are as well.
It must be nice, you gone from a mere girl child to a platoon of researcher and typists paid to destroy the egos of lost causers.
I’m actually envious and so is the rest of me.
My guess, just after the 1860 election of The Butcher, those same words were uttered in both the North and the South.
I hate to break this to you, you're just not worth the effort. Go your own way, good luck Yank.....
Their desperation is rising by the hour, isn't it?
I would hope that real conservatives from the North will come South should this get serious. Otherwise, you are the "problem" not the solution. Not predicting "unpleasantness" but in that event - all will have to decide one way or the other, am I a Federal State-ist or a little 'r' republican? No more fence sitting. Which side of the fence are you on?
Won't happen. In 1860 the South had men with the drive and the courage and the commitment to actually enter into rebellion and fight for the cause they believed in. In 2009 the South has a handfull of men without the drive or the courage or the commitment to do anything except whine about things and talk about someday, maybe, possibly having someone do something about it.
If what you say is true then all hope is lost. Not a pleasant thought for anyone as the power usurpation by the Federal beast grows every day.
Odd your comment though, if turned around, makes sense:
In 2009 the North has a handful of men without the drive or the courage or the commitment to do anything except whine about things and talk about someday, maybe, possibly having someone do something about a Southern secession, to preserve the Union.
In 2009 the North has a handful of men without the drive or the courage or the commitment to do anything except whine about things and talk about someday, maybe, possibly having someone do something about the ongoing Federal Power Grab, and actually threaten the Beast with separation.
And just when are you planning to start doing that?
As soon as he gets his latest made in china official confederate battle flag
and you get your Lincoln blow up doll.
Again with the perverse sexual references. You really should see someone about your deviant behavior...
Gee sorry If I offended you. Don't you usually bash Chief Runaway Shift Key?
I’m an equal opportunity offender...;-}
Only you would think of the confederate flag in a sexual way.
It's part of their legacy, going back to their cross-dressing leader, Jefferson Davis
Bump.
