Paradise Lost: Alamance Strip Club Temporarily Closed, Owners Arrested

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. - An undercover raid leads to the shut down of an Alamance County strip club.

Sheriff Terry Johnson said in the last five months, more than 700 crimes were committed at the Paradise Club on Hwy. 87 west.

"We have video tape and everything else where they're jumping on laps and all kinds of different sexual acts," said Johnson, referring to the club's dancers.

Thursday afternoon, the club was raided. Club owners Ronald Davis and his wife Theresa Davis face more than 400 criminal charges, ranging from drug deals to nude dancing. Ronald Davis denies any wrongdoing.

In all, seven were arrested and detectives said they're still looking for five dancers.

The investigation began five months ago when two undercover officers from Person County claim they were able to talk the owners into extending them memberships. Alamance County's vice squad said that's when they began building their case.

A restraining order has closed the Paradise Club for the next ten days, the first step in a nuisance abatement process. Johnson said the county wants to keep the business closed for good. A court hearing on the issue is scheduled for June 12.

You’ve got that right. I live a couple of counties to the west from there and let me tell you-Burlington/Alamance is far worse for gangs, illegals, etc. than the much larger counties in the area. I guess it’s because it’s on the I-40/I-85 corridor and because it is a smaller town with less of an LE presence.
