Why would someone ruin a decent white wedding gown with a big ugly red belt across the hips?

Perfect for the sort of wedding where the bride's present to the groom is the bridesmaid.

Perfect for the sort of wedding where the bride's present to the groom is the bridesmaid. If only my wedding (night) would be so pleasant.

First, marriage isn't about being madly in love with another person. That's the easy part. Marriage is about creating and sustaining a family, and in that function serving as the foundation of culture and society. When marriage loses its place and function, then the next step is the loss of the sacred aspects of the ceremony that marks its beginning: an outward sign of the degeneraiton of the meaning of marriage, sacramentally. At that point, what's the big deal with gay marriage? Heck, why not marry a goat if that's what you're into?Excellent.

I agree that it’s not a c-section scar. Got one of those and they do not extend far up the belly. Even the vertical ones only go up to the navel.

If I were attending a wedding and the bride walked in looking like that, I would quietly slip away. I would walk out on a wedding like that as well. But I don't think I know anyone who would dress that poorly.

Either way, it’s sad commentary on our current state of civilization...

There’s something wrong with someone who attends events naked, to begin with. But the other thing is, it is more than tacky for her to detract from the bride’s wedding day. That’s for her.
