Would-be gangster shoots off own manhood

A would-be gangster shot himself in the crutch when his gun went off half cocked in his pocket.

Lukas Neuhardt, 27, had forgotten to put the safety catch on when he stuffed the gun into his trouser pocket to impress pals in Saarbruecken, Germany.

He told paramedics that a masked mugger had blasted him in the crutch in a bungled robbery.

--

Now - after surgeons stitched his manhood back together - he's facing up to three years in jail for breaching Germany's tough new anti gun laws.

What in the heck are you talking about? First it was “misfires” now it’s “accidental discharges.” Two different animals. Back it up with facts. Show me the stats of Glocks firing without the trigger being pulled. And there is nothing accidental about a discharge. Keep it holstered until ready to fire and point downrange or into a bucket of sand before pulling the trigger for disassembly. Pretty simple. If it fires when chambering a round or does not fire when the trigger is pulled, then we can talk about misfires.

Do you have to treat them differently than a Beretta 92? Yes. A revolver? Yes. Is it a design problem if a gang-banger goes to a club with it shoved in his waistband and shoots himself in the thigh? No.

I’ve owned a LOT of different handguns, but carry the Glock as my CCW. I want something that is ready to fire when it comes out of the holster and has a light trigger pull. Glock gives me that.

I hate those things. I never liked that trigger safety combination, nor internal hammers - at least on handguns.

Glock doesn't have an internal hammer. It doesn't have hammer at all. It has a striker, as do many small semiauto pistols.

Coulda been.

The show was on but I wasn’t paying much attention.
I caught that part out of the “background noise”.

Mrs. F & I like to joke about some of the "Bodice Ripperisms" that she's found in some of the detective novels she reads: What've you seen?

>>> Okay, one of the better arguments for gun control in Germany. If even the gangsters can’t figure out how to use them...

Oh, I dunno. It was a problem that provided its own solution in the case of this dumb criminal, no?

Bodice ripper = “ slaked his need”

It seems that shooting off half of one’s need with a 9mm is a crime in Germany.

What've you seen?

LOL - we used to get hold of those bodice-rippers when I was in college and read passages aloud and laugh uproariously.

The words "pulsating" and "undulating" seem to be mandatory in these books and breasts are always "heaving" and eyes tend to "blaze," often accompanied by "smoldering" looks.

I firmly believe there is a manufacturing defect in the weapons that contributes to a high rate of misfire.

You are using the term misfire incorrectly. Misfire means to NOT fire frequently. If a gun misfires, it MISSED FIRING, which is where the term comes from. The term you are searching for is malfunction. Malfunctions come in many forms, failure to feed, stove piping, firing without anyone actually squeezing the trigger, etc. Misfires only come in one form, failure to fire. Misfires can also be called a type of malfunction but are usually due to poor ammo quality, sometimes, depending on the gun, from a weak firing pin strike.

I don't know if Glocks have a high rate of misfires or not but if they do this guy probably would not have shot his dick off with one.

Just sayin'.

The Mossad did use sub-sonic .22 cal bullets during a number of ‘incidents’.

Why does there seem to be fragrance of Glack-hate on this thread? They are top-quality pistols with excellent safety features and performance. Mine repsect my with 100% performance... Any ideeot who shoves any chambered pistol in their pocket to impress their giggling buddies deserves what they get.
