LJ, that is the first time I have seen that butterfly! It is almost like battenburg lace, it is so pretty! Thank you for sharing with us!
Thank you....I enjoyed doing that! Its sorta experimenting and learning to put 3 tables together! It takes me a while to do one~~~I am slower because I am not as sure of myself.
This post has been waiting on me...the phone rang, a friend called to tell me about a classmate passing away!
I love Paula’s cooking....man, it is fattening but delicious! She is always joking about the amount of mayonaise to put in something and butter...LOL! She did some potatoes one time..peeled and quartered (may have cut them into eithths, not sure and she rolled them in mayonaise and some kind of bread crumbs and baked in oven and boy, did they look good!
How pretty! Those markings look like ‘eyes of an owl’, don’t they?
I have all of her cookbooks - and every recipe turns out just perfect. I try to cut back on the fat - but since I eat very small portions, I don’t cut back tooooooooo much. LOL!
That is a very sweet graphic....did you do the printing on that? Thats what I want to learn to do!
I just went back and looked again, and you are RIGHT! It looks like an owl wrapped in battenburg lace!
Yes, its one of the prettiest I’ve seen!
No, JC - I didn’t do the printing on it - I ‘stole’ it from my unending stash of images that Mr. G supplies me with every day!
The only ones I am able print words on are from that LOL cat site. (And then, there is the durned link at the bottom of the picture.)
I would LOVE to know how to ‘write’ on pictures, too!!!
As Marissa would say .... hip, hip hurray.
Her ears look good; she needs to take the antibiotics through Sunday but she is cleared for swimming. He said she could swim this weekend if she wants.
We don’t have a pool; I bought a 12 footer that is 36” deep. I’m hoping that JustJr will help set it up this weekend. It is so hot that I know she would like to get in it this weekend.
Thanks for the update, Amy. I was just sitting here, wondering how her appointment turned out, and if she would be able to swim. This is VERY good news!
Hope you get the new pool set up for the weekend!
That looks so good it makes your tongue slap your brains out! Hi Yorkie! TGIF fo’ sure!
Wonderful news, Amy! So glad she can get her swim lessons in.
I had some neighbors down the street who had smaller kids and they bought a pool similar to what you described. It even had a little ladder and maybe a sliding board. It was a nice looking thing but when the season was over, they would just let it set and eventually throw it away. The next year they would go buy another one. Those things they bought looked like they would cost quite a few dollars.
I hate to be caddy but they sorta did everything that way. Like “half way cut the grass”...well, they just didn’t take care of things the way they should. Those kids would leave their bikes leaning against the curb at the street where anyone could steal them overnight. Its really none of my business.....LOL! I try to preserve the neighborhood!!
I know we will never be able to get it back in the carton, but I’m hoping I can get an extra large plastic container and get it stored there for the winter.
I bought this one ‘on sale’ for about $100.00. It gets so hot here in July and August that I know she will get more than that out of it. I will also take her to my friends apt so she can swim in a real pool 4 or 5 times this summer.
I try to think of fun things to keep her busy during summer break. It is too easy to let her watch TV ... easy for me but she needs to be out doing something physical.
Hey, CB! Good to see you! I was thinkin’ about’cha today, and wondering where you were!
Yes! That chicken fried steak is ‘almost’ to die for!!!
Welcome back!
You are a very good Mommie, Amy!
Amy, I believe the pool they bought down the street may have cost 2 or 3 hundred dollars. I think it had a little filter and everything. We could tell it cost something. But I do imagine they would be tough to take down and figure out what you are going to do with everything.
Yay Marissa!!!
Congratulations on getting better. I bet your swimming lessons will feel better than ever this weekend!
Hugs!
